An Israeli army officer who fired the entire magazine of his automatic rifle into a 13-year-old Palestinian girl and then said he would have done the same even if she had been three years old was acquitted on all charges by a military court yesterday.

Following yesterday's events I have again submitted a question to the Scottish Government asking what action it plans to take to prevent anti-Irish racism being perpetrated on Scotland's streets. It's all very well everyone tweeting their outrage, what is being done to stop it.

After two days of intense discussions, I am delighted that we have reached a deal to save BiFab from administration. My thanks to all who made it possible. Work still to do for the long term, but this will be much deserved relief for the workers.

I have asked for a meeting with the Chief Constable about this behaviour this weekend. The right to march is one thing but this is not acceptable. A medic has written to me saying he was not able to pass through to get to an incident.
I asked the First Minister to join me in calling for anti Irish racism and anti Catholic prejudice to be treated with the same seriousness as all other forms of prejudice and discrimination. I welcome the news Police Scotland have made arrests following events at the weekend.
I have the greatest admiration for Sandra. She won Glasgow Kelvin from me in 2011 and we have worked together since. We travelled to Gaza by boat in 2008 to break the siege and Jerusalem 2012 with late Gerald Kaufman MP to talk to Palestinian families. All the best Sandra.
It’s reported by the

sells 12 bottles of water at £1.59 and would subsequently under the scheme be forced to sell at £3.99. This is madness in the middle of a cost of living crisis.
This has made me very angry, they are some of the most desperate individuals are trying to survive in hotels during COVID were seeking asylum. They don't want to be in those hotels in the first place. Don't you dare use our City to spread your hatred.
Horrible tragedy in a Glasgow Hotel housing illegal immigrants.
All over the UK, hotels are filling up with young men who are coming across the Channel every day.
It is a massive risk to our wellbeing — yet the government does nothing.
I was disappointed that the Cabinet Secretary didn't agree with me that it was time to protect women under hate crime legislation now. I see no point waiting on the findings of Baroness Kennedy's working group when hate crimes against women are so visible so regularly.
I’m delighted to say that I’ve just been selected as the

The SNP spokesperson on energy and industrial strategy
@BBCRadioScot
won’t comment on and dismisses the question on why Scottish Government plans for a State owned energy company were abandoned! A really important question and policy area in this crisis
At over £30 , the cost of a day ticket from Glasgow to Edinburgh is completely unacceptable. If we are serious about tackling the climate crisis, tackling the cost of living crisis and improving connectivity, we need to do much, much better!
I am delighted to be number 1 on the Glasgow list. it is an honour and a privilege. I'd like recognise the principled decision of
@AnasSarwar
to step aside from top spot to ensure Scottish Labour fulfils it's promise to have half of our regional lists topped by women.
These aren't just numbers, they're the reason our bins aren't collected as regularly as we want, why housing isn't being invested in, why all roads aren't gritted and why schools can't offer all the activities they'd like. We need to invest in communities not make endless cuts!

is shaking her head. The Scottish Government knew this report was coming and the general direction it was taking. I have just returned from Ireland and they are also incorporating Cass review in to their own consultation. Children’s lives are at stake.
"The government, our officials and clinicians are reviewing the report. I don’t think it’s appropriate to respond quickly. I think we have to do that in the appropriate time so we understand exactly what the implications are of the Cass review."

A report from PWC last week indicated that Glasgow is experiencing slower growth than virtually any other city in Britain. Glasgow is in trouble and it needs much more help and strategic planning than currently being provided by the Scottish Government.
The Crown Office in Scotland need to be held to account for the convictions made after failings in the Horizon system were known. The Lord Advocate should return to Parliament to face further questioning on this scandal.
The City has no leadership that matters in this crisis. Engagement with business is hopeless and the City is in crises and needs a special Glasgow focused Recovery plan. Not good enough for Scotland largest city.

But should absolutely not be allowed to be inside the the tent in Government and at the same time have rights an opposition party do. That’s not right fair or credible. The PO must not allow this to happen.
Then is so disingenuous Claire knows

I was delighted to stay in my role as the lead on Housing and to take on the Local Government brief. Communities portfolio is essential too in working with groups on the ground working to eradicate poverty. Anas has hit the ground running and we are ready for this election.
Musicians, wedding bands, the hospitality sector, pubs and clubs have all had a horrendous year. Today is another set back on the road to normality. I asked the First Minister to engage with a recovery plan to help get them all back to work.
@wearethentia
@ScotWedAlliance
As James says, at every level this shows the arrogance and mindset of the SNP leadership that such a statement could uttered as a positive analysis of anything. I hope it’s roundly condemned by everyone.
This shocking from Angus Robertson. What sort of mindset does he have to write ‘55,000 predominantly No supporting older voters passing away every year’.
“I have seldom seen a proposal that is so reckless and feckless as wiping out your local advice sector during a pandemic and recession; so lacking in any strategic thinking, logic or compassion for the wellbeing of Glasgow’s citizens.”
After considering my position over night on The Scottish Labour Deputy Leader Vacancy I have decided to run. I appreciate the messages of support for the joint ticket. I will now be seeking nominations today.
Delighted to hear the First Minster

This is utter rubbish. Kevin knows that housing stock transfer from councils such as Glasgow. Those years makes the figures look different. In Glasgow it has led to a billion pounds of investment. Don’t take my word for it ask the GHA chief who briefed us recently on it.
It is a FACT that in their last term in office the Labour / Liberal coalition built a grand total of SIX council houses. All of them in Shetland. Some folk just don’t like the truth.
