A driver just tried to deny me entry to the bus due to two buggies on board- one was getting off at that stop anyway and the other was EMPTY! This is why we’re fighting for disability-led E&D training and mandatory retraining for drivers who flout the wheelchair priority rule.

For those who may have missed it: Many disabled people need to use straws to drink. Plastic straws are the most practical & easy to use. Focus on responsible disposal, not a ban which would make live even harder for so many #disability #plasticpollution

This is something I don't see much written about. About what happens when a disabled person unable to work has a partner who works full time. How this means the disabled partner loses their ESA. How we stop being our own person and become our partner's responsibility. #disability

I just had a big old insecure/anxious cry over the fact we will be so financially unequal in terms of daily living contributions, and how scared I am that this will drive a wedge into our relationship. I can get all the reassurance now but we just won't know until we're there.

Though in a strange bus triumph, I asked a lady demanding the priority seat off a younger man not to police others’ disabilities. She was doubting that he could have a disability due to his age, like his word wasn’t enough. Now I’m fear sweating but a bit happy with myself.
