2 hrs. 19 mins. Why did we shorten our afternoons at the ballpark??
People sat through 3 hrs of Oppenheimer in dark strip mall theaters, but 3hrs at Camden Yards is untenable for the sport.
Royals relievers are catching hell in the pen about the QuikTrip patch. Guys yelling down “quick trip to the bench after we walk it off”. There are many variations on this theme.
Baltimore is beautiful, has a gorgeous water front, is one of the few east coast cities where you can still buy a house for under 200k, has the best baseball team in the American League, and the best fans in the world.
People should come live in Baltimore!!!!
Wow no Jackson Holliday and 17-22" of snow for Opening Day!
Probably should try to list your tickets now (preferably for 25-30% of original price, and please use Ticketmaster bc I forgot my SeakGeek password).
Thanks
@Orioles
for the ticket voucher from the rain delay! Especially cool that it could be used for tickets up to $88. I never sit this close, but with the voucher I’m getting two games for the price of a $10 bleacher seat!!

Uh what’s going on
@mtamaryland
@MDOTMTAHolly
??
Im in the middle of the Adirondack mountains and just passed a Baltimore city bus? When’d this route get added???
@Zechy68
Can definitely see this. The way you’re consuming it probably makes a big difference. I’ve also never complained when it’s a 9:30pm west coast game & I have to get up the next day. But on a gorgeous afternoon the game feels robbed of leisure.
Got to say, opening day was my first time in club level seats (I’m extremely grateful for the ticket from one of the best fans I’ve met on O’s Twitter).
But this is where I belong. Nosebleeds, mustard stains on my hands. Drunk kids screaming behind me. Feels like a ballgame.
If John Angelos was still majority owner on an off day where everyone in the city is feeling great:
“Strikeouts are expensive. 11 is a lot. I don’t think we can afford more than 7 without raising ticket prices. Also, hotdogs are no longer available at games.”
@Kristop38560529
Very valid point & maybe I miss their intention. I saw it as a gesture to casual fans who come w/ the family 4-5 a year, like they’d go to the theater a few times a year, but don’t want to commit 4 hrs. Luckily we root for the O’s. I might ask for 1 hr games as a Rockies fan lol.
If you were foolish enough to doubt Cedric Mullins at the beginning of this year, Twitter has a great feature where you can go back and delete all that trash. Go do it now.
I hope whoever is starting at second base gets zero shit from our fans on Opening Day. Not their fault we wanted to see Holliday. Cheer for the team on the field, they have nothing to do with this decision.
We should all be doing daily mental health checks on A’s fans. I don’t know how they are even dealing with this. John Fisher and MLB are fucking around with the one thing that makes a lot of us not depressed for 6 months each year.
I'd love if people visiting Baltimore in the next decade for these types of events could ride the red line down Pratt and shop/eat in a redeveloped harbor.
Baltimore could kill a couple birds with one stone if they installed these.
1. Slows down drivers
2. Protects bikers and pedestrians
3. Stormwater management helping prevent flooding and improving water quality
4. Add ecologically beneficial plants to the streetscape
Hey O's fans, lets get this Sell section going for the A's fans visiting OPACY in April. Great idea from
@Orioles__Tragic
!
Would love to meet some of the passionate Oakland fans and show our support.
@LastDiveBar
No matter what happens in extras I’d give everyone of you Orioles Twitter ppl a big fucking hug! Never really was on here much before this season but this year has been so much fun and more to come in the playoffs!!!
Gonna wear this with pride when the A’s are in town so John Fisher knows it’s not just Oakland that hates him, it’s every baseball fan that knows he’s a son of a bitch.
@Oaklandish
I have fallen head over heels for Corbin Burnes. Easy to love the best pitcher in baseball being on our team.
But if we get to watch Bradish spin sliders at the yard again soon?? I want to be on the record now that when Kyle Bradish comes back THAT’S MY ACE!!!!!
Mike Elias looks miserable. The guy has drafted better than anyone. Picked up discarded pieces all over the league. But he went out and got Verlander with Houston. Now he’s stuck with John. Jesus Christ.
Fixing pot holes for drivers, but many drivers give construction workers zero respect on the road. Can't be bothered to slow down.
Saw a crew working on Lombard today. Car flew by on the right to get around the cones. Earlier this year, 6 killed by a speeding car on I-695.
Jesus Campos, a construction worker who knows the crew, said the men were from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. They are in their 30s and 40s and have spouses and children.
“They are hard-working, humble men,” he said.
More updates to come for

Governor Splash. Regardless of whether you like him or not, its fun. Ive been won over on the bird bath guest appearances. And I hope they showed on espn and ppl see how fun this park is!
“Nobody uses bike lanes”
“Good luck using a bike lane in the rain”
Just a few of many of us out here enjoying an elevated heart rate, no car payment, and a refreshingly cool sprinkle.
What an awesome early Xmas gift from my sister!!! The stained glass is beautiful. Someone named Hiltrud Manley (all time name) on Etsy. Couldn’t be happier tonight.

@JeffFisch
No one is plagued by social misery and violent crime here. Jesus christ, who posts this about a beautiful city in the midst of a tragedy?
Reports of an agreement to sell the
@Orioles
franchise to billionaires David Rubenstein & Mike Arougheti for $1.725 billion has some fans celebrating outside of Camden Yards
@wjz
Schemed up the perfect "Go to Saturday night O's game while still getting credit for spending time w/ girlfriend" plan. Asked Chloe if she wanted to do an early morning hike, then leave me at the Hunt Valley light rail so she can go thrifting while I'm at the game. Masterful.
Your car talking to you like god in heaven Jim? Spend time outside a metal box downtown. Walk to Camden Yards from the Harbor. Nightmare already exists, but it can be changed. “Most important west to east street” should be for the ppl who live here, not cars speeding through.
My ‘eye’ and my car tells me that the developers of the inner harbor want to reconfigure Pratt st. that just happens to be the most important west to east street in the downtown area. Nightmare coming.
I've made the painful decision to prioritize my health over going to the game. Have been dealing w/ a nasty cold, and while I would love to go cough on every single one of you and your food, I will use better judgement. Will shoot for Sat - Wed. games & seeing DL pitch tomorrow!
It's the time of the year you can listen to baseball on the commute home. Nothing like rushing into the house to turn on the TV to catch the next at bat. Or if you're driving, waiting in the car 5 more mins with the radio on until the inning ends before you head inside.
“This team gave up”, “pathetic performance”, “forgot how to play baseball”.
Let me tell you these are professional athletes, top 1% in the world, trying their hardest in front of a dead crowd, who care a ton & have performed all year.
