I don't think tech folks quite understand how pervasive remote work has become. It's not even a debate anymore, it's a full on revolution. Hard to do any recruiting these days and not constantly run into talented folks who will never go back to working in an office again.

Rxjs is just plain unnecessary for frontend apart from a few specialized data streaming/fetching scenarios. It is a great tool but one that is overkill for 99% of frontend work.

Acting like you're more productive in an office is a complete joke. You get a few solid hours of focus intermixed with a stressful commute, constant interruptions, coffee/lunch breaks, stress about leaving to pick up kids and avoid traffic which will add 30+ minutes to your drive

It’s been an interesting year at Ionic. Failed to raise a Series B beginning of the year...then went on to double our enterprise business while dramatically reducing burn in the process, and will have a blowout Q4. So damn proud of this team! Also fuck Series B’s 😂

People mistakenly think Ionic’s mission is to be the “best” cross platform *mobile* solution. That mission is way too small and short term. The actual mission is to make the web platform the dominant app runtime on all devices by helping teams build amazing apps on top.
