My whole family had to be moved, my older sisters went to boarding school, my younger sister and I went to live with my aunt. My brother lived with mum alone. What Inkatha did to communities was horrendous.

At some point my mother attempted dressing me up as a girl so those goons wouldn’t kill me too, by sheer luck I was a little too young to be forced to join either IFP or ANC at the time. Many boys who did are long dead or recently came back from prison.

The worst thing just happened to me 😫 My car is getting serviced so I’m car less and ubering around. I tried to get an Uber but they’re all busy, I’m close to my place, about a 3 minute drive or so. So I decide to walk. Does my ex not drive past me as I’m walking home 😭😭

It really hurts me that people have to die for change to happen. My favourite human passed away two months ago, but it took her dying to make me realise that she was my favourite. I took her for granted. At her funeral I vowed to stop procrastinating
