The last conversation my aunt had with my mum before the power cut was 'my sister, this maybe be the last time we speak. Don't forget us and make sure to give charity on my behalf'. My mum tried to reassure her but my aunt said 'it is different this time'.
We got to the point that children have to now come out and beg us to recognise their right to freedom, food, medicine and education. And they had to do it in English so the world understands their pain!
This is just so heartbreaking,

๐จ NEW: Labour believe they have LOST the West Midlands Mayoral election because of Gaza
A senior party source said: "It's the Middle East, not West Midlands that will have won Street the Mayoralty. Once again Hamas are the real villains."

After my resignation yesterday I received this tone deaf message from someone in Keir Starmer's team, without even a proper apology.
If the official Party line is as they claim why won't the Leader of the party publicly apologise for his comments and say as much?
Subhanallah! Omar Suleiman's second episode of his Ramadan series really had me reflecting on my own life. Could it be that my Caribbean grandparents' conversion to Islam is the answered dua of my enslaved ancestors who were worried about their future generations losing Islam?
This war will end.
When it does, my cousins will no longer be here. Family members will be homeless. A whole community will have to grieve and rebuild.
Honestly how are you guys still playing victims?
I never really understood 100% why my mother insisted in all of her children having Palestinian IDs but I understand now. My mum was preparing for a time like now when the future is not certain. That our ID would be the only evidence that we have that we are from Gaza.
Israel's PR team are clearly in crisis. Palestinians are being murdered in Gaza and Eve Barlow is enjoying the beach view. Anyone with common sense can see that this is not a war zone
The scenes of hundreds killed at the Al-Ahli Arabi Baptist hospital in Gaza are absolutely devastating and cannot be justified.
International law must be upheld.
Hospitals and civilian lives must be protected.
I just got told that my cousin's son passed away from his injuries that he sustained when their home was bombed.
I lost 6 members of my family to that bombing, 5 of them were children.
ุญุณุจูุง ุงููู ููุนู ุงููููู
Genuine question: how is this helping Palestine and the Palestinians?
It is actually disgusting that the mass murder of Palestinians is being used for views and fame! It is getting unbearable now.

My family have just updated us in our family groupchat that 4 family members have been killed so far! They are still digging for more bodies.

This statement is a failed attempt to backtrack from original comments that were made on LBC. No mention of meeting Palestinians who have been directly impacted by this. As usual, we are not seen as human enough for any form of sympathy. We aren't even an after thought.
A week ago we awoke to the unimaginable and heartbreaking news of terrorist attacks on Israel from Gaza by Hamas.
We repeat our call for Hamas to release all hostages immediately, and for the protection of innocent civilian lives in Israel and Gaza.
My statement:
The bombing of Al Ahli hospital was a test to the international community. To see how far would they be willing to support Israel. For every person who casted doubt on that bombing, blood is on your hands.
Havenโt been able to get out of my head the fact that 50,000 pregnant women in Gaza have no access to healthcare right now. Itโs unimaginable, the amount of stress & trauma theyโre experiencing. 5,500 are supposed to give birth this month. Bringing new life, surrounded by death.
Let me be clear: NO MORE U.S. funding for Netanyahuโs illegal, immoral, brutal, and grossly disproportionate war against the Palestinian people. Congress must reject any effort to pass $10 billion of unconditional military aid for the right-wing Netanyahu government.

I just spoke to my aunt in Deir al-Balah, and I can't stop crying. While we were on the phone, her neighbour's house was bombed, and I could hear the panic in her voice. She's pleading with me, asking if there's any way to get them out of Gaza.

My cousin just informed me that more than 20 members of her father's side of the family have been murdered.
Was fortunate enough to be able to video call my grandparents for the first time since the bombing started. Subhannallah seeing how content my grandmother was just in bed reading her Quran.
Even when surrounded by death and destruction, it is the Quran that is keeping her going
Each of us looks at the conflict in the Middle East from our own perspective. We need to respect that. We must hear each other out. We need to see, how we can take small but courageous steps to end the suffering. -

I was grateful to hear from the Muslim community of the South Wales Islamic Centre.
I repeated our calls for all hostages to be released, more humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, for the water and power to be switched back on, and a renewed focus on the two state solution.
I want to make it very clear: the so-called "pro-Palestinian leftists" who stayed in the party are not responsible for this change in tone. It was the ones who left the party and the ones who were critical of him who did this.
You can not campaign for change within a system.
Just been informed that my grandparents and uncles who were hosting over 200 displaced family members have been told to leave their home. Now many of my family members are on the streets and have literally no where to go
@ajplus
Israeli air raids have killed at least 18 Palestinians in Nuseirat refugee camp in the besieged Gaza Strip, reports Hamas media.
๐ด LIVE updates:
Israeli soldier admits he murdered an unarmed elderly Palestinian man who had his arms up in the air & begged to spare his life.
The other soldiers applaud & praise him for it, shake his hand, give him a pat on the shoulder & say "all the respect"!
We canโt take it anymore, weโre exhaustedโฆ Weโre gonna get killed, itโs just a matter of when. Thereโs no protection, no impunity. These PPEs donโt protect us. Nothing protects journalists. We lose lives, one by oneโฆ Mohammed Abu Hatab was here, half an hour ago.

yesterday about how events in Middle East, Hamas attacks & the humanitarian emergency in Gaza continue to cause huge pain in our communities here in UK
Wow. Just wow. This is just full of nonsense. Not experts?????? No one asked you for answers. We ask for you to stand by your morals and call out the genocide that is happening in Gaza. It took you guys 2 weeks to release this statement?
At NUS, we are not experts on Israel and Palestine, and we do not imagine we have the answers to this ongoing humanitarian crisis.
We've put together advice for students, SUs, officers and student groups on showing leadership in response to the crisis:
Heartbroken by the death of hundreds at the Al-Ahli Arabi Baptist hospital in Gaza. My prayers are with those suffering.
This cannot be justified.
International law must be upheld. Hospitals and civilians must be protected.
The anger I feel right now! But wallahi to do this on an odd night as well! What is it with some people in our community who just insist on entertaining these genocide enablers?
Please what does one get out of this????
Honoured to receive such hospitality and generosity at an iftar this week during the holy month of Ramadan.
It was a pleasure to pay tribute to the enormous contribution British Muslims make to our national life.
I spoke to The Independent about my fond memories of Gaza and how I spent the summer with my family. My family members were killed, but it is those memories that keep me going.
Our loved ones aren't just numbers. They are real humans with real stories
My heart is broken watching the live scenes of Gazans praying Salatul Janazah for people have been killed. As they are praying, more bodies are being put in front of them.
ุญุณุจูุง ุงููู ููุนู ุงููููู!
While our so-called community leaders were engaged in idle chatter in Parliament with individuals who literally obstructed debates on Palestine in Parliament, I received news that my cousin's wife, who had survived one airstrike, died of a heart attack that was induced by fear.
I am very aware that I am 9 months pregnant and that the complications I have had throughout my pregnancy have been caused by stress, but I swear if one more person tells me to just not listen to the news or turn off my social media like I can just detach myself, I will explode

Looking for a beautiful piece of art for your home? Wanting an Eid gift for a dear family or friend? Hoping to always remember the strength and imaan of the Palestinians?
I just quit Labour after 24 years.
We deserve better than the race to the bottom between Labour and the Tories.
Labour want you to think there's no alternative. But there is.
Join it:
y'all wanted this stupid temporary ceasefire but can't get Israel to just stop for literally 4 days. It has literally been less than 48 hours and they have broken the agreement
Israeli troops shot dead 17-year-old Belal Khafaja while he protested on the Gaza border. Over 200 Palestinians were injured, 45 with live fire.
173 Palestinians have been killed at the weekly protests since March.
Al Jazeera's

As I said on Radio 4 Today this morning, it is morally wrong to bomb refugee camps. I am appalled by the civilian deaths at the Jabalia camp. I called on and continue to call on Israel to explain how this conforms to international law and how it qualifies as proportionate.
A journalist killed, three other journalists - including AlJazeeraโs correspondent
@CarmenJoukhadar
, wounded in an Israeli strike on their car in southern Lebanon.
Palestinians have warned about this right from the beginning. You chose to ignore them and now want to play saviour. Please do us all a favour and spare us the fake sympathy.
1.4 million displaced Palestinians are in Rafah, with nowhere to go. It's the gateway for aid to Gaza. An Israeli offensive there would be catastrophic. Far too many civilians have already been killed or wounded.
The fighting must stop now. We need a sustainable ceasefire.
BREAKING: More than 700 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours, according to the Director General of the Gov't Media Office in Gaza
I have so many memories here especially with my cousin (ุงููู ูุฑุญู ูุง) who passed away after giving birth. We use go together every evening and get ice cream and just shop around. Breaks my heart how destroyed it is now. Use to be so full of life and busy
This street in Al-Nusairat refugee camp was containing many restaurants, itโs all got destroyed and even if itโs still working there is no materials for them to cook and sell food.
Following the resignation from the Labour Party of Cllr Ajaz Rehman, Cabinet Member at Oxford City Council, there are now 50 confirmed councillor resignations from the Labour Party over Keir Starmerโs refusal to back a ceasefire.
Genuinely want to understand what is the point of this discussion? Over 10,000 civilians have been murdered and people who decided to stay in their roles are coming together to talk about why Labour should join the calls for a ceasefire? Seriously?
If we have learned anything in the past couple of months, it is that social media is direct action! Social media posts have been used as evidence in international courts. So say whatever you like so you can sleep at night, but don't fool everyone else with your nonsense.
4. Social media isn't direct action
Angry tweeting may feel like you're helping, but you're not really. It's noise and a distraction. Those who are quiet may be helping a cause with money or direct help. Those who shout the loudest may only be doing it for clicks. You don't know.
They have been warning about this since the beginning of the bombardments!
I pray that the people who enable this would never be able to sleep and never feel peace again!
Whilst students have been protesting and occupying buildings and calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza.
The national organisation that's supposed to be representing them (
@nusuk
) said they're apparently not "experts in Palestine"
Abolish this useless organisation.

Statement of resignation from the Labour Party from Cllr Shaista Aziz, Cllr Amar Latif, Oxford City Council.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Israel and Palestine and call for and end to violence and the humanitarian crisis.
Please keep my family and the people of Gaza in your duas on this blessed day. Just found out from my mum that they have started to bomb where my family are and we can't get hold of anyone. May Allah be with them all
Litrally one of those students. I have no idea when I am going to be able to leave Gaza. Was suppose to leave 7 days ago and I am officially shitting myself.
Gazaโs universities is gone forever
Main Institutions like IUG and Al-Azhar Universities have been completely erased from the map & their online presence has also been deleted from the electronic realm.

My MS has been flaring up really badly the past 2 weeks so I am unable to go to the vigil today but please please if you are in London, make sure to go to the vigil!
The destruction of Al Ahli hospital is a devastating loss of human life.
The UK has been clear.
The protection of civilian life must come first.
The UK will work with our allies to find out what has happened and protect innocent civilians in Gaza.
Just a little reminder for all the Muslims who are looking to support Palestinian restaurants, Akub Restaurant isn't halal unless you pre book and let them know you want halal meat. So make sure to do that when going โค๏ธ๐ต๐ธ
