Sending my love and thoughts to the family of my wonderful friend Bill Turnbull. He was a brilliant journalist, a stickler for accuracy, passionate about
@BBCBreakfast
and a fabulously supportive and kind team-player. Most of all he was great fun, I love how he made me laugh. Xx
Wow, I never imagined my last day could be so full of happiness. Thank you for your messages, I am feeling overwhelmed by your kindness. It has been a joy and a privilege to work on
#BBCBreakfast
and I will always feel like part of a huge family ❤️ thank you
Up bright and early to talk about the joys of working alongside and being friends with Bill Turnbull.
@BBCBreakfast
are doing a special programme all about him. It will make you laugh and very possibly cry too .
I have so many happy memories of yesterday. I am still reading your lovely messages, thank you so much. This photo captures the fun I have had with
@mrdanwalker
especially as we broke our “we don’t touch” rule for the first time ever 🤣🤣 good luck Dan in everything you do!
Morning, I am still recovering from that feeling of elation after jumping off a ferry to swim in a fjord with 250 other people, beneath snow touched mountains towards a bonfire on a beach.
#Norseman
it was for me. Thanks for your lovely messages.
Thank you for all your kind, thoughtful and supportive messages after my previous tweet, we are all touched and grateful for them. Sending you some pre Christmas calm. Xxx
Brilliant news, massive congratulations Sal. You are a fabulous journalist and wonderful, supportive friend. I am so pleased for you and the
#BBCBreakfast
team Xxx
I don’t feel I have the right words for the pain and anguish over what is happening in
#Ukraine
but one of those who does is my former colleague
@bbclysedoucet
whose reporting is sensitive and heart wrenching as is that of
@CliveMyrieBBC
. My heart goes out to everybody affected.
This is what it feels like to be leaving
#BBCBreakfast
after so long. Scary but exciting like this clear water … officially my last day is the 15th September, thanks so much for your kind and supportive messages.
This was a day I will never forget, I knew
#PatagonManXtri
was going to be tough and it more than lived up to expectations, it was brilliant and brutal, and I crossed the finish line after over 16 hours, 20 mins before cut off time! I am a bit broken.
Oh the indignity! I managed to fall off my bike at 0 miles an hour, forgot to take my foot out of the cleat. Rookie error that haven’t done for years! 🤣🤣 thankfully only my pride was hurt. 🤦♀️ Anyone else as silly?
Hiya, if you’ve been wondering what I am up to, I am having a break, to get my foot fixed. When I am a bit more mobile, as Arnie says, I will be back!!
@BBCBreakfast
Wow what a year 2021 was. For me it was a year of big change, and big adventures. Change can feel scary, but it is good. I know it’s been a tough year but we have made it through and I am looking forward to seeing what 2022 will bring. Thank you for being kind to me here.

@visitwales
George was kind and wise and a supremely talented journalist who always had a much appreciated word of sage advice for those around him. He will be sorely missed.
Good morning, and in non broken news I am able to wear matching shoes for the first time in five weeks whoop whoop.
@RogerJ_01

I can’t believe I swam 13km today, massively helped by an incoming tide and
@herspirituk
friends and
@swimcathswim

@aberdoveyswim
