'My'beautiful trees have been chopped, their gorgeous canopies are lying in bits in the field, no idea why, can't believe it. They welcome me home every time I return. Distraught.
Our area has become over managed, full of twee wooden finger post signs, hateful.

The whole co dependant couple thing is a mystery to me, seems like an extension of childhood dependency 🤔
The most fun couples to be around are always two individuals who fundamentally respect & like each other.
Rural dereliction is often rooted in the age old complexity of inheritance. Properties left to more than one family member, emotional attachment to the past and often with no capital to restore or even maintain the house.
33% inheritance tax seems a lot
#DerelictIreland
#Mayo
@frank_oconnor
Taxation is a huge problem in this area. Many people have been left properties by deceased relatives who cannot afford either 33% Inheritance Tax plus the additional cost of renovating these properties. This is more evident in rural Ireland. Remove the tax would be a start.

All water has a perfect memory and is forever trying to get back to where it was. Writers are like that: remembering where we were, what valley we ran through, what the banks were like, the light that was there and the route back to our original place.

Interior design flows easily from design for theatre & film.
When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise, and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused.
