If you’re a big school OC or DC & want to be HFC/AD at a smaller district (4A and below) try to understand the resources at small schools are far more limited. Go spend some time at a small school program- see what they have & what they have to do to be successful.

A lot of great coaches didn’t make playoffs this year. A lot of great coaches are already knocked out. 1 season is a snapshot not an indicator of greatness. You’re great when you consistently do what you do best- whether it is winning, turnarounds, culture. Consistency is key.

Coaches- currently UIL does not count homeschooling kids one for one but HB 699 wants to change that and is being heard on Tuesday by the Public Ed House Committee. If you want it to stay the way UIL has it now- voice your opinions with your representatives
