I was with the family today. They are beyond grateful for Jonathan’s efforts in reuniting them with their daughter/sister. He did great work here! Truly great work. Kaylee is safe.

Completely out of control…hence a drug and mental health crisis! We need to stand up for what is right and handle this crisis with services that are intentional. Tell me how any of what is currently happening is working? Look at that man. He is somebody’s someone. The community
@choeshow
Spoke with her family this am as well and received the photos! This is good stuff…we definitely need to fight harder for these stories. The family connection here matters so much! And..Thank you Jonathan for your work.
@choeshow
She has been down in Westlake for at least the past 10 years or more. Never once has she accepted a service from me other than a blanket. It would matter to her life to have an intentional long term intervention done. Her levels of trauma are more than most can imagine!
Today,
@davereichert24
and I met with the Seattle CARE team, led by Chief
@SeattleAmySmith
. He witnessed firsthand how they are compassionately addressing the needs of our community's most vulnerable. I deeply appreciate the thoughtful questions he asked and his proactive stance
@choeshow
We have to put a stop to the trafficking. All hands and feet…please check the encampments as well. All tents. That is often where girls are dumped.
Early this morning, I walked the streets of Seattle, determined to reunite a family with their loved one and support their journey toward recovery. We walked the blade and inquired with our friends on the streets if anyone had seen the missing individual. The community's response
QUICK UPDATE: It's been a drama filled day. Harborview Medical Center evaluated and released Kaylee Gordon Monday morning. But her distraught family members say they were never contacted by the hospital. So for more than five hours, Kaylee was out roaming the streets of Seattle
We absolutely ALL have to work together to provide the much needed support to confront this drug epidemic and mental health crisis. We need to lead with interventions, detox and mental health support. We must have the right compassion to do the real work. Thank you to those that

These are not isolated circumstances either this is happening all over and rapidly increasing. As a parent I suggest you pay close attention to your child’s social web specifically online.
@choeshow
The only message here is the lack of compassion for a humans life. Imagine if rather people received messages that their life mattered, there was hope and where they could find real help for a better life than the hell they are in?!? Imagine…We need a narrative change and quick!
These three men have earned my utmost respect for their unwavering commitment to public safety. They continue to show up for the communities that need them most, and I am grateful to be a part of their solutions of change. Let's all take a moment to appreciate the incredible work
From HOMELESS to Housed!!!
To know him is to love him, Our Johnnie Jones got his keys today to his apartment!!! 💛💛
What a Christmas gift for this man to have a place to call home and rest his head. It’s been a long time in the making.
A looooong time!
Thank you to everyone
I just got a call asking to help get someone into detox. It took me less than ten minutes to make the connection and get the green light to send the man.
I don’t say this to brag. I say this so people know there are options and detox IS available same day even the same hour.

She pulled at my heart strings the day I met her. She deserved for us to intervene. She now has a chance at a better life free of the chains of her addictions. It will be a battle however, one that needs to lead with compassion and fueled with mental health support.
It’s 6:55am and I’ve already received my first message to connect a person to detox.
Someone is giving themselves a chance and getting off the streets. This Fentanyl is no joke and we need to show up when someone is ready to get clean no matter the time.

I like walking up to groups like this because I can speak to more people at once but please pay attention to this conversation when I first start doing this a heard a person give a interview and said as long as this drug is easy acceptable they don’t have no reason to stop
COMPETITION: Outreach group "The More We Love" says homeless non-profits in King County are competing against each other and have to participate in a "broker system" to get beds for men and women who want to get off the streets.

It's truly devastating when any individual loses their life to an overdose within the confines of public buildings, such as city hall. This tragedy underscores the critical need for compassionate, community-centered responses. Implementing comprehensive support systems, including
This is a message we received this morning from a recently housed woman.
This is gratitude and it made my morning getting this message. Support matters and love really does win.
Oh and food insecurity is very real. Help your neighbors.

I’m sorry people feel this way. But my agenda is humans helping humans and to be their constants. I have made that clear from the start. I also come with 20 Years of outreach work. I have served every population and I will continue to do so even under the ridiculous accusations
@choeshow
I have babies and mamas that are homeless here that need our help. That need our resources. We can’t use our resources to bridge their gaps not when we don’t have enough ourselves.

They should contract with The More We Love. We know how to compassionately move these encampments by working with the humans to get them into services or home to their families. It’s time we start supporting and pushing the detox, mental health and supported housing model.
"Love the game-changing conversations taking place around public safety. Collaboration is the only way we will be able to support all sides in the work we do to help those who need us most. I highly value this partnership with the CARES Team. Doing the work and breaking the

It was a matter of time in that greenbelt. So much drug trafficking and more up in those tents. Have you happen to see the ones in the trees? Time we demand change!

Sadly, the City of Burien added to this toll last night. A man overdosed in the City Hall/Library bathroom. We continue to have the County Executive and County Sheriff not enforce any of our public camping laws, leading to continued deaths on the street.
The work I do is very real and it matters. Ask yourself how can you help because lord knows I need it. As much support as I can get. 💛🙏

A Night of REST is right around the corner, on Saturday, Sept. 30th! If you haven't been before, A Night of REST is a magical night - high energy, inspiring stories, fabulous desserts (and other food too), and the opportunity to help end sex trafficking. I can't wait, and I hope

Detox, Supported mental health programs, enhanced shelters, enhanced housing programs, villages, home to their families….sometimes Jail.
@jasonrantz
This is wrong on so many levels. The deep trauma the system is causing to this little girl let alone the man that committed the crimes…how does she get a fair chance? Who fights for her?
Today I Was Brave...
A year ago, I watched in awe as a woman named Sarahann took the stage at the Stolen Youth luncheon. She shared her story, and today, I had the privilege to share mine. Sarahann inspired me to stand in this space bravely, to find empowerment. I now believe
HOUSED!!!!! 💛💛💛
Thank you to all that showed your love and support to make this miracle happen! In less than two months we housed a Mother and her two young babies permanently! We are proud to say we did not have to use any emergency shelters (they can be traumatizing) thanks

Hired as a consultant? I’m certain that fee is greater than his previous salary. This is incredibly sad for the homeless I love so much. We need to do better!
Gratitude today came in the form of hot meals donated by Lish which we delivered to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission and Sophia’s Way.
I LOVE connecting the community to those in greatest need.

I have been in this work for almost 20 years most served as a volunteer. I was thrilled when Dave asked to go out and see for himself the State of the Union and walk alongside me. Dave’s heart and passion really showed while out on the streets engaging. He didn’t hesitate to ask
