I’m just a guy who is a baseball fan, but this is crushing. Dude was always so positive. Multi lingual. Had such a grip on our game. Dang. Dang, man.

(1) Have ya ever watched “Locked Up Abroad”? You break laws in another country, you do whatever time their laws say you do. (2) This is karma at its finest for a young lady who didn’t want to stand for the flag, yet now begs her country to help her. 🤷🏻♂️🇺🇸
If you’ve ever worked on a golf course, the sunrise is the deal. It’s magnificent, it starts your day, and you feel your purpose. If you don’t work on a golf course anymore, (like me) it’s what you miss most. This is the best one I ever saw.
I’ll never understand why you wanna stand in the same spot and practice the same putt for an hour or whatever? WTF? You’re not gonna have that on the golf course.
Opening day is here

! What a ride the last year has been with the grow in. So much respect for

Biggest thing I wish youth sports parents understood was that it really doesn’t matter until these kids hit puberty. Just let ‘em learn the game and play with their friends.
Hey
@ABCA1945
…. Have you guys ever thought about adding a session on field maintenance with a sports turf pro to the lineup at each annual convention? So many of us have to help take care of our own fields. I bet it would be well attended!
🤦🏼♂️If you’re playing the tips, I feel like you should know not to put on bug spray standing on the tee box. Pro-Am? Or a member? I bet Webb Simpson (pictured) knows not to do this.
Enjoyed representing

along with
@BrodyChrisman
today in the North-South All Star game. Thank you for all you have meant to our program! 👊
Plenty of youth coaches get bent out of shape about this. Sportsmanship this and that… “have some class”. I say let the kids have fun! You don’t see the kids on the other team upset about it do you?

This is pretty much all you need to know until your kid hits puberty, and then we see what kind of player we have. Until then- it’s supposed to be fun! And let him play with his FRIENDS!
Kids don’t become college athletes because at 8-years-old they “wanted to become a college athlete” ...
Kids become college athletes because at 8-years-old they love to have fun playing sports with their friends.
"If it wasn't playing baseball, it was watching baseball. If it wasn't watching baseball, it was baseball cards."

has baseball in his DNA.
Like every kid who falls in love with the game he found a way to stick around it as much as possible.

If you’re a coach… you have to have a spouse that understands and supports you to no end. This hug and this moment is years in the making.
This is my kid. He “flashes” a nice look with Oakleys on a cloudy day. Has “feel” for pumping up his teammates.
“Plus” look on the arm sleeve. Went to Smoothie King between games. Nice little Saturday. We barely talked about his performance, just food and the NBA.
Parents… when it comes to sports- STOP COMPARING YOUR KID TO OTHER KIDS! They’re all on their own timeline. Some are stronger and bigger when they’re young, then some get passed by. Your kid will have his/her day if he/she works hard enough! It’s okay. It’s fine. Chill!
The biggest cowards lack the integrity to have real conversations that matter. They take to social media and want to try influence others. Sit down. Have crucial conversations. Social media has given cowards a platform that many of us see through. Especially coaches. You suck.
I am extremely biased… I’ll give you that. But when you have Scott, Tyler, and Matt with a singular focus, they all know what winning looks like at a hug level, and have the resources and a world class facility… it’s really not that surprising. It’s all you want.
@ReformedSptProj
Good rule of thumb… if your kid isn’t upset about his/her performance, their coach, etc. then why are you upset? Go to Dairy Queen with them and calm down.
Watching old school Karate Kid (1984) with my boys.... we paused it to discuss warm vs. cool season turf. They didn’t seem to appreciate it.

“Just play the movie.”
Baseball is not meant to be played:
(1) at 8am
(2) in the rain, whether the turf is artificial or not.
Travel baseball tournaments…. Have we lost our minds? My God.
Travel ball coaches: coach to the bottom half of your roster. Your best players are going to be good. But what defines you as a coach is how you develop those players that aren’t the best. It’s easy to go out and recruit the best players. Can you develop the others?
You can see it a mile away. They’re also the parents who just drop their kids off at practice and offer two pieces of advice … “hustle” and “respect your coaches.”
The best sports parents don’t care if their kid wins, loses, hits a home run or strikes out … The best sports parents just want their kid to have fun, be a good teammate, show good sportsmanship, try their best and compete!
