Not many people get that the bitcoin whitepaper was describing Bitcoin the software- created before the whitepaper. The source code is basically the paper's appendix. To really get bitcoin, you have to look at Bitcoin's software and its source code.

An interesting strategy for a bitcoin thief is to buy bitcoin & instead of stealing, they burn the victim's coins. They earn proportional to their current investment, but so does everyone else. This gives an attacker a huge anonymity set, if their other theft opsec was perfect.
