A Thai family have opened this place behind Kala. I think the street is called Marsdon st. They only opened on Saturday & the location is a little bit off the beaten track so can you make an effort to check it out cause they’re super lovely. Their Gran is the chef

Morning! Didn’t know if you knew, but we do this thing on a Sunday called a ‘Roast Dinner’. It involves 9-hour gravy, tender meats, crispy potatoes and sometimes glasses of red wine. Your sort of thing? We do it every week. 😊 Who’s coming in today?

Right about this time each day, we’d be sitting down to an evening briefing. How many people are booked in, any special guests, special occasions, special requirements, new dishes, favourite wines or cocktails on offer. One day, we’ll be doing it again, I’m sure of it.

You may have seen pigs head on the documentary last night. We do it a little differently here at Kala, served with poached pineapple, puffed pork skin and mojo verde.
So me & Rich decided the pigs head sausage roll on the bar menu was shit... so we took it off & Duck heart kebab was like trying to sell snow to Eskimos so we binned em both off & instead we done ... wait for it...

Look, we know Christmas was heavy. You’re knackered, full of cheese, but you still want to eat nice food without feeling the pinch. We do a set menu that’s 2 courses for £20, we have slightly healthier dish options & we’ve got space all weekend for a nice relaxed service.

We’ve been on King Street a little over 10 months now, and there are still so many people that don’t know we’re here. Building a new business in a busy city is a huge challenge, but we’ve learnt so much so far.
