Ask most doctors what the success rate of in-hospital CPR is, and you’ll find it’s near-zero. Ask most intensivists about outcomes following out of hospital CPR, and you’ll find they’re terrible. We do far too much, for far too long, to people who have simply died.

After 4 years I have, this morning, finally finished ACCS Anaesthetics. It is an excellent programme that I would commend to anyone interested in anaesthetics and/or ICM. Just don’t have the first half of your programme consumed by a pandemic is my recommendation.

As a further demonstration of what a gamechanger the loop is, I told it about no carbs today. I had a baguette for lunch, a wispa mid-afternoon, a burger and onion rings for dinner and some chocolate. Yes, there were sizeable glucose excursions but they are all deftly sorted.
