30,000 rapid COVID tests conducted over the last month. The negative rate of those 30,000-plus COVID tests is 99.8 percent. I am not sure how you can have much stronger data. That’s coming from one sport that is a full-contact sport and two other sports which were indoor sports.

Great conversation with a colleague that teaches Physical Education. He can have 30 kids in his gym class all day long starting on January 4th. At 2:30pm then Covid is an issue and we must close the gym. Apparently it lays dormant from 8:00am until 230pm? @CoachSpeakPdcst

I absolutely love this time of year and AAU basketball! Gyms full all day and night as kids make memories and new friends from other communities. Travel sports get a bad rap from those who never played them. Love seeing kids leave their bubble and comfort zone.

Costco full, Airport packed, the mall parking lot was full, we had family friends go to the Y in Jackson and Anytime Fitness in Chelsea but take away in person school for HS students and then take away athletics for students. Yeah that makes sense, that should lower the numbers.

I love this time of year because you find out what kids love the game. Some find a way to get shots up and stay in the gym while running track, playing baseball or lacrosse. Others find Fortnite or excuses. AAU is not for everyone but working on your game is not really an option.

I’ve coached DI and D II players and several small college guys and even spent a few years as a small college assistant. @RossStofflet is the real deal. Kid has freakish hops, range from deep, as well as the lost art of the mid range game. Best part is he is a great teammate!
