csm getting the best soundtrack in all anime while jjk stans have to endure pop punk songs everytime a fight scene is on 🙏 mappa you did ONE thing right
the scene isn't bad, but it's always been crazy to me how this is considered the standard for best animation when the choreography is ass, and it's just fucking rainbows of digital effects with crumbs of 2d
Because most people don't even know about the existence of demons. Even fewer of them know about Demon Slayers (they are not recognized by the government). Also, they are thematically different:
Muichiro - Identity issues
Rengoku - Tradition and ideals
Tengen - Indoctrination
"Someone who never gives to others will someday become unable to receive anything from them. Only wanting is, in the end, the same as having nothing... because one is unable to create anything."
Douma's theme is so great. This slightly off-key violin communicates, without words, to the viewer how twisted he is.
Demon Slayer OST is just something else!
@MoBanshoFinn
There are a lot of aspects that s2 improved, like art direction, and compositing and overall I like it more. But I miss the fast-paced action scenes of s1
Tanjiro needed 2 years to learn one of the most BASIC breathing style. For comparison, Kanao learned Flower Breathing just by watching her sister train. The reading comprehension of Demon Slayer among people needs to be studied.
If the success of Kny could be recreated by animation then it would be easy to recreate.
In the story, demons represent escapism from their past and the pain they caused and received. While humans represent the unwavering spirit, no matter what tragedies they have to endure.
I wonder when will ppl understand that Breathing Techniques are supposed to be mystical, not magical. It's about UNDERSTANDING every fiber of your body and pushing it to the fullest not about throwing fireballs at the enemy. That's why part of Tanjiro's training is meditation.
ever since the author said that the fire and shit the slayers do is just metaphorical and none of it is actually happening I've never been able to take the series seriously again
Loved how important of a narrative element his strength is. Actually, it is more of a curse to him them a blessing. It was a reason why he felt isolated from others, why he couldn't stay with Kokushibo, and why Koku couldn't see himself as equal to him even as a twin brother
I hope that when they play the full version of the opening at the end of the season, they will showcase Infinity Castle / Upper Moons when this part of the opening starts playing:
#鬼滅の刃 #柱稽古編
#HYDE
#DemonSlayer
#MYFIRSTSTORY
#異空間無限城
#KNY

PS: It's my edit
I wonder when will those self-proclaimed "choreography experts" learn that choreography is not just jumping and kicking. But it also includes the usage of space, camera work, timing, tempo, etc. EVEN A PORTRAYAL OF EMOTIONS IS PART OF CHOREOGRAPHY!
Ghosts and spirits in Demon Slayer come from Buddhism so they don't need to be explained since it's a part of Japanese culture. The show is more spiritual and mystical than fantastical so it doesn't need huge exposition. For the same reason, giant toads exist in Naruto.
>Wisteria flowers exist and are a natural weakness to demons. Somehow only ONE demon slayer in the entire core uses this to their advantage.
>How did Sabito train Tanjiro for half a year, beat him up, touch physical objects and never come up in conversation with Urokodaki. Ghosts
Tengen and Rengoku's backstories are literally polar opposites. Where Tengen rejects all values instilled in him by his ninja clan, while Rengoku fights for them.
All those backstories mean different things to characters and shaped them in different ways to where they are now. So saying "tHeY ArE ThE SaMe" is a very closed-minded perspective.

"has not used in his life" 💀
He literally was learning the forms of sun breathing since he was a child and after his father passing he had to uphold the family tradition of dancing for 12h every year using those forms
"It's just... I could never actually imagine a future where I could see next year or the year after. But you saw my future, Hakuji. And as if it was natural, you told me there was a next year. I was really happy."
In fact, Demon Slayer is a series about coming to terms with your past and losses and accepting them. That's why backstories are so important. Since they also work in correlation to the main message of the show. I made a short thread about it before

He did. The type of argument "misoginy is when females are feminine" and tries to project misogyny on the female author. Pathetic behavior...
A story about not getting yourself defined by your past and accepting what life give you and working with it while striving for a better future. Heavily inspired by stoic philosophy and Buddhism. Unlike most shonen anime it actually follows its themes till the end.
I wonder what ufotable is cooking for the next episode.
By episode 2 of RLD we already had Obunai, Yamaoka, and Kunihiro do KAs but in SSV they only appeared in the OP (excluding Yamaoka who's still missing)
What "traditional instruments" did other openings had? 💀 Zankyosanka, Gurenge, and Akeboshi literally had none.
This one has shamisen, shakuhachi and wadaiko.
I think I am the only 1 in the whole fandom who didn't liked this opening. I don't know it seems more like mappa and mha openings, demon slayer had it's original signature kind of style with traditional instruments in the openings and choirs, sad they didn't make this that way.

1. Some females use water breathing. Like Makomo and Aoi. So the argument that breathing styles are misogynistic fall apart already.
2. There is nothing misogynistic about the female using flowery combat nor using stone or fire by male is misandristic.
3. Love breathing comes-

He sees demons as humans since his sister is a demon and he's aware of the moral ambiguity of his actions but he still makes a choice to kill them for his own personal reasons. If pushed enough, he would most likely kill a human.
@the_honored1
@SaaraAdam21
from fire breathing and Mitsuri can use fire breathing since she used it at the beginning and from that she created her own style.
4. You understand how idiotic and pathetic it is to accuse the female author or even imply that she's misogynistic because he can't find constructive
How sad your life needs to be to post someone's photo online to shame them because they dared to laugh at a joke. Touch some grass. If you leave your house and interact with REAL people you may learn that some aren't miserable and brainrotted by Twitter like you are:

No, his death helped him to come to terms with his survivor's guilt and was important for his development as well as for setting up the themes of "leaving things for future generations without looking back"
@YAIBASHINGEKI
The contrast between Muzan and Kagaya is what makes this dialogue so special. Essentially, it's the man on his deathbed lecturing an "eternal" being about the nature of permanence. This particular dynamic creates a special atmosphere within the dialogue, (1/2)
Kokushobo couldn't be like Yoriichi, not because he didn't train enough but because of his mentality he never would reach enlightenment.
That's why I love DS power system so much. Because it goes beyond throwing fireballs at an enemy. But it an important narrative element that-
@KirinVI
"If you'd been in my shoes back then, you would've done the same. That's why you point your sword at me. That's why you slash not yourself, but your alter ego. That's why you seek a revenge that'd hurt you far more than cutting yourself."
That's why the Selfless State is portrayed as a moment of enlightenment because it is a state of mind not body. That's also why Yoriichi, the person that is the founder of Breathing is depicted as Bodhisattwa(Jizo). Just as Bodhisattwa, he guides others towards enlightenment-
by teaching Breathing to other slayers. And again that's also why "Realm of the Highest" is used as a synonym for Selfless State.
Since demons abandoned their past they will never reach it since they can't achieve inner harmony. Akaza and Kokushibo are fantastic examples.
i love the dead character media. where their absence shapes the narrative more than their presence. where the vacuum left by the character acts as a catalyst. where their voice echoes in the decisions of the protagonist. i need to read a book like this immediately!!!
@PokemanZ0N6
@Onlyfact_s
It's literally mostly hand-drawn. it's just digitally colored and that's the norm since 2001. And guess what, your beloved One Piece doing the same thing.
@ChibiReviews
Sorry, but you really didn't do much in this video other than repeating talking points without explaining why you think this way. "It's basic, generic story", "Kny fans are new to anime". The title and body movements don't help either. You seem to be cringing a lot in the video.
US Best-Selling Manga Series of 2023
01./ Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - ~2,050,000
02./ One Piece - ~1,900,000
03./ Chainsaw Man - ~1,235,000
04./ Jujutsu Kaisen - ~1,080,000
05./ My Hero Academia - ~900,000
In many shounen series, the title of the "strongest" often serves as a narrative tool primarily used to gauge the power levels of the main antagonist or to make a character more appealing/cooler. And it doesn't have a purpose beyond that.
@SaaraAdam21
I halfly agree with this. I agree that Tanjiro shows a problem in accurate visualization of self-image but I don't think he lacks empathy. We saw multiple times that he can put himself in other people's situations. (1/2)
Ahh yes... because Tanjiro hasn't met Muzan in episode 7 and the swordsmith village "didn't matter" that's why after the demons attacked they had to relocate it. And RDL wasn't a foundation to explore a theme of indoctrination and how an environment affects your values.
@Ayberk55178949
None of the locations really matter, they are all just “New Battlefields” and well it’s all the same.
Tanjiro heads somewhere, demon appears, he kills them. And there you go.
Mugan Train is the only unique one where that doesn’t happen, but well it’s a mid arc so yeah
The ranks don't matter (not including Hasiras) because this show isn't about becoming the strongest. Both this and your point about lower moons show how your mentality is destroyed by battle shonen and power scaling.
