Waiting in the carpool line to pick up my kids from school, trying to dry my eyes before they get to my car, and I just watched the mom in front of me get out of her car and wrap her child up in this huge emotional embrace. Now I’m crying again. Our country is broken.

Within 24 hrs we had a positive in one of my kid’s classes that sent 1/4 of the class home due to exposure. Now, we have another notification for close contact. I’ve been trying desperately to allow some normalcy in our lives while also being responsible & safe. And just…fuck.

This morning in Irvine, a person in military styled fatigues & helmet with a ski mask covering their face was seen on freeway bridges, near a school, & in a neighborhood holding/waving a Nazi flag. Irvine PD was contact by residents, per PD there was nothing that could be done.

Driving to work on the 405 in Orange County, CA I looked up to see a man on a bridge waving a Nazi flag with his arm raised in the air. I’m shaking and sick to my stomach.

My brother is a paranoid schizophrenic whose trigger is our mom. Severe history w/ restraining orders, arrests, 5150’s. For the first time in over 20 years they were able to sit down today & talk & actually enjoy each other. He called me tonight so happy, and I can’t stop crying.
