During Mark Harper's speech this morning the small amount of attendees are corralled into an area on the right so Party people like this man (red arrow) can take a deceptive photo.
If anyone sees that photo on social media then do point it out

HUGE sewage discharge into the River Brent in Ealing. Over 15 hours and still dumping! The Brent feeds into the Thames. This is one of the longest discharges I have seen in London from Thames Water.
Absolutely disgusting.
@AndrewRTDavies
You might want to tell them to stop blocking the pavement Andy.
Have some thought for the visually impaired and those using wheelchairs and pushchairs.
I will never forget when a friend with asthma told me she could immediately feel the difference in the air when the ULEZ was introduced in outer London.
Don’t let the dinosaur Susan Hall take us backwards!
On a walkabout Rishi Sunak laughs in the face of a woman when she pleads with him to return the NHS to the fully-functioning way it used to be, and then walks off when she begins to tell him the story of her daughter's health.
Where is the empathy?
@Conservatives
It’s strange that I don’t remember the Tories kicking up a fuss when the Union flag was beautifully stylised in 2012 at the Olympics.
Almost as if it’s another one of your pathetic culture wars.
A grand total of ten Tory MPs have turned up to support Mark Harper's Private Members' Bill to remove the ULEZ across London.
(Mark Harper is MP for the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire by the way - 133 miles from London).
What a waste of precious Parliamentary time.
Awful sneering from Sunak when asked for a Christmas message from Starmer in
#PMQs
This is a Prime Minister who knows that the end of the road is approaching fast.
While the Conservatives spoke in echoey, half-empty halls last week, and they downsized for Sunak’s speech, this is currently the OVERFLOW hall at conference for Keir Starmer’s imminent speech.
Time for a General Election Rishi.
You know it, we know it.

The Tottenham Conservatives’ video that shows a gunsight hovering across Sadiq Khan’s face is the vilest thing I have seen from an account that is truly disgusting.
Astounding that the national

The Welsh Conservatives here demonstrating why a pavement parking law needs to be introduced in Wales as soon as possible.
Unsurprising to see the Welsh Tories making life more difficult for the visually impaired and those who use wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Is the Count about to pull off a major electoral coup on May 2nd 😲
Incredible to see this latest map of low traffic neighbourhoods across London. It's not hard to envisage the day that you'll be able to cycle 🚴 or walk 🚶from the north to the south of the capital via the safety of LTNs.
Incredible 🔥
🚨 Exciting news to see the latest data from the hugely popular Fox Lane Low Traffic Neighbourhood in Enfield which shows that traffic has DECREASED on ALL LTN BOUNDARY roads sometimes by as much as 20%.
A short 🧵1/4
Three years ago Winchmore Hill Green was basically a sleepy car park with little footfall.
After full pedestrianisation it’s now a thriving centre for the community, and businesses are delighted.
#PedestrianisationWorks
and if you’re a Councillor, push for it in your patch!
Much talk of democracy and LTNs... well last night Sadiq Khan received an enormous mandate to continue his work on cycle lanes, low traffic neighbourhoods and school streets right across London - a green infrastructure that will support our declared climate emergency in Enfield.
511 comments on NextDoor about a small bike rack placed on a road next to shop in Enfield. 511! Includes the usual WEF/climate lockdown right-wing conspiracy theorists. It’s just a simple bike rack, not some secret plan.
Is this happening everywhere or just in London and Oxford?
@KwasiKwarteng
@MayorofLondon
Do you know what actually did place a significant burden on small businesses, low-income families, and disabled people in your constituency?
Your absolutely disastrous and utterly punishing tenure as Chancellor.
I have just signed the petition to ‘remove the 20mph law in Wales’ using the postcode of a car park in Cardiff and a ten minute email address ().
It then thanked me for my signature.
This petition has been gamed in a massive way.
Absolutely unreliable.
@carlafrancome
Carla, firstly check that it was actually a police officer who phoned you. Then make an official complaint because, whatever you may or may not have done, this is effectively intimidation.
Delighted that the Fox Lane Low Traffic Neighbourhood is now permanent. It’s taken a while following an initial design that was redesigned using community feedback. And now the LTN residents, including the boundary roads, gave their majority approval by a clear 8% margin.

Conservative Party candidate in Enfield (yes the usual suspect) shows us the soot on a sign on North Circular Rd. But instead of calling for road user charging, he suggests our residential roads should be a release valve for this ‘motorway’ through our borough. Truly mind-blowing
Pleased to read the judgment this afternoon from Mr Justice Eyre concerning the Fox Lane LTN where each of the grounds and the claim made against the Council were dismissed.
I hope it reassures residents that the Council took a balanced view when making the Fox Lane LTN permanent
Interesting discussion on here about whether one filter can be a Low Traffic Neighbourhood, and the answer is of course it can!
Below is an old filter in Enfield from the 1980s. No messing about: Solid concrete bollards, no ANPR,no locks. This filter means business and…

Concerning that someone who wants to be London Mayor does not realise the Underground is policed by the British Transport Police who report directly to her Conservative Secretary of State for Transport.
Could someone send Susan on a course?
Consider allowing your children to walk, scoot, cycle or catch the bus to school this term. ~30% of peak hour traffic in London is from the ‘school run’ and reducing those emissions will help mitigate the brutal effects of climate change affecting future generations.
Schrödinger's ULEZ.
Apparently thousands are being prevented from driving because of ULEZ, yet the roads are more congested (according to Tom Tom whose business model relies on cars being on the roads).
What a load of nonsense.
After ploughing through 78 pages of the report which basically confirms everything councils have been claiming about LTNs for decades, a couple of things stood out. Firstly the massive amount of engagement that councils undertake on the schemes.

Just chuckling to myself as I remember this enormous self-own from a couple of years ago. Even now, just 24 months later I'm seeing more and more cargo bikes on the roads.
Yet another election result last night where the Tories campaigned on the singe issue of LTNs & were humiliated into 4th place at the ballot box.
Hermitage ward is next to the very popular St Anns LTN and it turns out residents do want cleaner air & to be rid of awful rat-runners
Absolutely delighted that our North Middlesex Hospital Active Travel Improvements project is to go ahead as it will mean so much to the amazing 4,000 Doctors, nurses and staff at the hospital when they walk and cycle to and from work.

Incredible testimony in front of Oxfordshire County Council in support of LTN schemes this morning, including this speaker with limited sight.
She talked of her improved experience of navigating once unsafe streets and this is one of the huge benefits to people with disabilities.
Rishi Sunak’s constituency has a few LTNs in it that I fully expect to see in his new ‘review’.
Take this filter on Quaker’s Lane in Richmond.
Installed after 2016 the bollards protect the entire area from rat-running - an ideal LTN.
Will he now demand its removal?
Less than a week until the 'school run' adds 25-35% more traffic to roads in Enfield. Please consider allowing your young ones to walk, cycle or use public transport (if they're able) particularly if they attend one of our 14 school streets or use the 'safe corridor' of an LTN.
As Susan Hall publishes her manifesto (with a £515 million hole in the finances) let’s not forget what a complete mess she made when leading Harrow Council.
So after 65+ hours of dumping, and photographic proof of effluent, Thames Water have now taken the Ealing monitor offline where it joins 16 or so other monitors which are offline around London. I try to avoid conspiracy theories but wow…Let’s now see how long it remains offline.
@theJeremyVine
Pedestrianising the entire length of it is the only move that will save it in the long term.
Cafés down the middle, massive increase in trees. It’s a lesson other cities like Barcelona and Paris learnt many years ago.
If the fossil-fuel funded, libertarian Institute of Economic Affairs comes out against LTNs then you know you’re absolutely 100% in the right to install them everywhere asap.
This is the 'think' tank which has recently called for the UK’s net-zero target to be scrapped. Shameful.
@AndrewRTDavies
Head of response, Paul Jenkinson said:
"The reduction in speed to 20mph may cause a slight delay in our response times to incidents.
"However, given the exemption from the speed limits in law, fire appliances (engines) can go above the speed limit."
Do you read this Andy?
🌳 Absolutely superb news to hear that the Mayor of London has awarded another £500,000 to a project close to my heart: Enfield Chase Restoration. This will improve paths and increase accessibility for pedestrians & cyclists to the new woodland 🌳

I spoke to Martin Stanford on LBC this morning about the enormous sewage dump from Thames Water into the River Brent in Ealing (now 65 hours), the fact that OFWAT is unfit for purpose and maintaining our wetlands in Enfield.

Cost of compulsory national service:
£ 2.5bn a year.
Cost of pay rise for junior doctors that you insist is “simply unaffordable”:
£2bn a year.
Can anyone translate this word salad from the Conservatives, the supposed party of law and order?
It reads that you can now break the law as long as you're well intentioned?
I wonder if that also goes for shoplifting, burglary, fraud etc?
Shameful a food bank network had to distribute a record 3.1m parcels, nearly double that five years ago as poverty, hardship and inequality deepen.
To divert eyes the UK Govt stokes culture wars on everything from sex education to rainbow lanyards.

As you well know 2x Thames roadworks close to Southgate roundabout are causing huge issues throughout the area. Please warm your constituents as best you can rather than spreading misinformation. Thanks.
And that concludes this public service announcement from the Enfield Conservatives circa 1983.
Thanks for tuning in and welcome to the impending climate crisis.

Delighted for Nesil Caliskan & Labour’s Enfield Cllrs across our wonderful borough.
This election was an absolute vindication of our climate policy, LTNs and active travel measures. I hope this encourages other boroughs to be brave in their aspirations. I’ll write more later…
Managed to find a couple of hours to cycle down🚲and have a peek around Haringey’s fantastic new St Ann’s LTN. What a game changer! I remember Black Boy Lane being a truly awful rat-run and it’s now safe to cycle and walk down, as are the other roads across the LTN.
🧵1/4
A popular ‘alternative solution’ from people who dislike LTNs is to ‘prioritise public transport’. Well we’re trying to improve journeys on our bus lanes which have struggled for over a decade (Green Lanes+Fore St) and guess what? They oppose that too.
Details next tweet👇
Thank you to the Scrutiny Committee last night for some very challenging questions about the Bowes Low Traffic Neighbourhood.
I'm pleased the final vote confirmed that the scheme is now permanent.

Tories constantly pushing the narrative that children MUST be driven to school rather than walk, cycle or use public transport. It’s why they oppose school streets.
You can track it back to the fact that the Conservatives are propped up by fossil fuel donations.
In a severe cost of living crisis it is a disgrace that Tory boroughs Bexley, Bromley, Harrow and Hillingdon, plus Surrey county council have frittered away £hundreds of thousands of council tax payers money on something they knew they would not win. A total publicity stunt.
Just cycled through Bounds Green LTN for the 1st time and what a difference it makes! South Palmerston Road used to be so dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists as speeding rat-runners used it as a bypass for Green Lanes. Now safety restored.
Thank you

@KateEMcCann
@AvantiWestCoast
And Avanti has had its contract renewed even following a mountain of awful stories like this. Our rail system is so broken.
“No one was consulted about their streets being used as short cuts. No one was consulted about facing a higher risk of asthma and dementia as a result of air pollution, or seeing their communities split by walls of traffic.”
@CCHQPress
@Councillorsuzie
At the last General Election the Tories dishonestly changed the name of its Conservative campaign headquarters press office Twitter account to ‘factcheckUK’ from its usual CCHQPress.
So as predicted the small Haringey protest was hijacked by the roaming Rent-A-Libertarian mob. Placards spotted include ‘Green Tyranny’, ‘Vaccines Kill’ and ‘Climate Hoax’. These are not locals and residents should do the right thing - enter their thoughts into the consultations.
🌱 Rain gardens in Enfield still looking spectacular!
(Reminder of importance👉A rain garden is a section of landscaping that acts as sustainable drainage. It helps reduce flooding and remove contaminants from the run off of the rainwater).
The total costs for the failed ULEZ challenge to the five Tory authorities (Hillingdon, Bexley, Bromley and Harrow, plus Surrey County Council) were £730,941.
£730,941 for a political stunt.
What a shameful waste of money in a cost of living crisis.
@BBradley_Mans
I’ve watched over the past few weeks as Ben Bradley, East Midlands Mayoral candidate, has blamed Ben Bradley council leader and Ben Bradley MP for all of the issues in the region.
Is anyone really going to fall for this?
Sad to see the traffic-chasers out today making statements that local residents feel they have to correct.
Also back to blaming congestion at one of the busiest junctions in Enfield on the LTNs - it has been like this for decades and needs road user charging to offer relief.
