BO BURNHAM: INSIDE is a remarkable work of art. It’s hilarious, profound, and claustrophobic. It’s both irreverent and meaningful. Burnham may have produced the defining work of 2020, capturing the isolation and absurdity of it all. This is much more than a comedy special.

I’m officially predicting Sarah Snook to win the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for SUCCESSION. She’s more than held her own this season, and is easily as much of a lead as Jeremy Strong. Her work is brilliant. And if she moves to lead, I think she solidly wins.

Here’s where I’m at with Oscar prospects for #WakandaForever : Song is a no-brainer. It’ll likely be Gaga v Rihanna, and could see Rihanna’s ballad taking home the Oscar. Picture is a tough one though. It’s better than the first, but won’t be seen as a game changer the same way.

#DaisyJonesAndTheSix is a winner. I’ve been singing “Look At Us Now” for weeks. With great energy, stellar original songs, and incredible chemistry between Clafin and Keough, there’s a lot to love here. It takes a few episodes to get rolling, but it’s such a satisfying story.

#PixarLuca is pure joy. Endlessly charming, it’s a story of friendship and being yourself. With a unique visual style, this doesn’t feel like any other Pixar film. A great sense of humor and a small-scale story that just works. Heartfelt and lots of fun. Pixar’s done it again.
