Minimal starting-point for troubleshooting COD Rotational AA. Help a friend out if you see them say this! (WIP, 🧵...)
Aim Assist - Change of Tracking Direction - Very Simple Example ➡️⬅️
Common occurrence, but rare you get _gameplay_ clips that can't be hand-waved away otherwise.
I got little chance to react here, but you can put 2+2 together & see they would not have "escaped" otherwise :)

The setting is just a more granular, alternative way to set your sens, *instead of* using the usual 1-20 numbers.
Replicated what Zyro did in his clip, using same sens as him, 12-12:

Just like in previous games, Rotational AA has no problem following glitchy/super-fast movement.
Previously it took a bit more effort to find or recreate those scenarios tho 😅

I align myself perfectly by *respawning til I'm facing the right direction* & don't touch mouse/right-stick while getting into position.

Claims of an "AA nerf": So far, I found no measurable difference to base level Rotational AA (Hipfire).
I'll do more testing when I get a chance, though please keep in mind that not a single claim of "AA nerfs" (beyond range changes) has *ever* been proven.
Player Outlines still require aiming at the player 🎯
Hope people try them out before jumping to conclusions - they are not anti-"camper/tactical" or "look at me".
But they *do* help you see what you're shooting at, which helps everyone, and leaves fights less to chance/AA.
Interesting feature of Apex's Aim Assist 🤔
While AA is generally very similar to COD's, at point-blank range you basically get ZERO AA/Rotational AA.
Never considered this design/balance choice. (Forgive me if this is common knowledge in Apex).

This page is showing your current "status" though, not a history of appeals.
The "status" once your ban is overturned, would simply be the first message: "No ban detected".
That's exactly how I'd code it too if "status" was the goal. Sorry, this is a nothingburger.

I'm at the edge of the Guardian's blast, so this isn't conclusive. I get Rotational AA when a player falls in front of me despite barely being able to see.
Curious if anyone else can catch a better clip during the beta though, LMK!

Now and then, don't even try to lead shots, and watch the smooth path of the tracers as they follow the enemy's trajectory.
Sometimes, you can literally glue your crosshair onto a point on the target. I'm average - if I can do it, you can too.

I don't press my sprint bind at all (Right on D-Pad), yet it sometimes still dives. Happens often after coming out of prone, but isn't limited to that.

Right, I see that I was remembering from my own video incorrectly - but is there still the huge discrepancy in how strong the rotational is while ADS between marksman and sniper like I showed in the video?
To clarify, the point of this demo is what Zyro suggests doesn't do anything, as he doesn't leave it on Custom, and just goes back to the preset value he was using.
It's not a different setting - it's an optional way to enter a more precise "Custom" value for the *same* setting.
Vondel is back. I wonder if they fixed the thing yet ...
(They did not fix the thing).
We've all had time to play with this - doubt this map enters Ranked - but prob should be fixed soon anyway before it becomes a problem 😅

Aim Assist vs Right Stick ("stickiness").
Benefit: Crosshair starts at a fixed point - it can't rotate further upwards. So, easier to start the test consistently vs a horiz test.
Can then compare the time it takes to return to vertical 🤔

Slide-to-Standing doesn't pull taysh, but the Mantle part does, so I'm a bit on the fence how wild this would look if they were a bit more centered.

A simple exercise to Check RAA is Working 👟🏃♂️
In Shipment, find where you expect the enemy to come from, then:
- Hold left stick 🡄 into the wall/container
- Don't touch right stick
- Wait for enemy to cross your path
- Watch (& ideally record with an overlay or handcam)

Yerp, there's a controlled test I did below with C4 smoke.
They did nerf smoke grenades though (and stuns), just none of the other lingering smoke in the game (or flashes) :X
I think "Fast Prone" - "Sprint into Backwards+Prone" is still well worth doing, even after the patch.
Might also still be a lil unpatched and unintended behaviour - see first clip :)

Nope, that's a common misconception. Either left stick ~25% or right stick ~5% can give you RAA.
Even just controlling recoil usually uses enough right-stick movement to give you RAA.

Respectfully, ima need to see some benchmarks before believing OBS is more performant than shadowplay.
Benchmarks I’ve seen so far of shadowplay show minimal perf impact & just logically Nvidia can do things at the driver level OBS cannot.

He's asking why the arbitrary tournament rules, which is a very fair question.
Controller is clearly the stronger input in this game, and every decent controller player agrees with him on that.
Scump, for example:

COD stated they ignore "one player" spam reporting - Scenario A.
But in Scenario B - angry spectators or enemy team, we still get 1 report per player as far as we know.
I keep seeing a lot of clips of "B" & then people jumping to "COD lied". 🤷♂️
