NPR is not only the foundation for NRC under 2003 Rules . It makes the NRC even more dangerous than in Assam. In Assam, despite all bias, all citizens were required to produce documents. The NPR will allow the state to handpick ‘doubtful’ citizens. And we know who they will pick.

Out again today for food distribution. Met homeless families in Nizamuddin & Modi Mill Flyover. Hunger of women, children, aged intense. Await occasional food charity. Most haven't eaten more than one meal a day. Now even that looks difficult. This can't be how we fight the virus

Truly beyond shameful -govt orders recovery of train fare with 30 rupees "superfast charge" from returning migrants. They have spent a month stranded without work & food in unsanitary shelters, longing for family & home. They have no savings. How can they pay? Why shd they pay?

"superfast charge"! After having made the whole #MigrantWorkers wait for 6weeks , exhaust their money , lose their self confidence, & even now it is going to take weeks, before most of them will be home. Many have NO money to pay for their fare. Why not pay delay compensation??
