Went with a friend to look at houses in Barry today. Why does every new development feel like you're walking through a tarmaced supermarket car park with a few houses dotted around? Huge swathes of prime land given to developers, and they just churn out lifeless, car dependent 💩

Cardiff deserves a dedicated Tiger Bay/Docklands Museum. A branch of the Museum of Cardiff that just focuses on the full history of the docks, it's role, it's communities, it's redevelopment would be so interesting.

The fact that a significant number of people in Cardiff would rather see Castle St revert back to the dirty, loud, polluted, congested, dangerous eyesore in front of our landmarks - and the council has it up for consultation - genuinely worries me for future + how selfish we are.

Cardiff has so many examples of beautiful buildings ruined by ugly, cheap shopfronts. St Mary St in particular. Cardiff Market for example could look so much smarter with something like this: traditional shopfronts that properly connect with the upper building. (and awnings)

Another landmark Cardiff pub looks to be demolished. The Rompney Castle in Rumney, built in 1872. With tales of it being a favourite among pirates, bought by the wife of an American ambassador + remodelled in the 19th century, a long colourful history set to become rubble.

Reminder that almost half of households in Plasnewydd (48.3%) & nearby Cathays (49.1%) & Adamsdown (48.1%) have NO access to a car. Some of the lowest rates of car ownership not just in Cardiff but in Wales. Improving pedestrian, cycling & public transport is essential & fair.

Bye ‘Bee Bus Stop’! Sad to see this being removed to accommodate an extra traffic lane as @cardiffcouncil prepare to reopen Castle Street for private vehicles. A poor message to be sending out when we should be prioritising sustainable transport… 🐝🚌👋🏻🤷🏼‍♂️ #transporthierarchy
