The number of US citizens caught smuggling drugs, people, and weapons across the border has shot up. Thanks largely to Republican framing, though, we hear only that threats at the border come from abroad. I wrote about this for The @NewYorker .

I wrote about Latino turnout. The number of eligible Latino voters has increased rapidly, but turnout hasn't kept pace. @MariaTeresa and @votolatino are working to fix that.
