Donegal Street building, where I’ve toiled for more than 23 years (we were still broadsheet when I joined in January 2000). Gonna be a strange day
Thank you
@Translink_NI

Can’t believe today marks my 20th anniversary in my biz editor role in

Here’s a selection of three filling station prices in Banbridge right now. Let’s see the change after 6pm when the 5p per litres duty reduction is due to kick in
I’m not going away you know! Apologies if my earlier tweet caused confusion and consternation. This is simply my last day in the current

How do you know when you’re getting old? When you appear on the history page of the Banbridge Chronicle! Here’s my report of my test drive of the Sinclair C5 from 1985, reproduced by Victoria Lavery. Typo in headline (G5?) is not my fault. The flowery language is!
It was an absolute privilege to hear this truly amazing lady’s address to the

Life in the

For anyone interested in chocolate (as I very much am), the Cadbury’s mini eggs small Easter egg from Tesco (RRP £1) contains exactly 10 mini eggs. Something to be devoured in a single sitting with your afternoon cuppa . . .

Changed times? Am I missing something? Is the presidential visit still on? Is there a bomb scare? Are we still in holiday mode? This is Robinson’s in Belfast at 6pm on an April Friday night!

HELP WANTED: Has anybody any idea how I can watch a full hour of just adverts/trailers on Sky? They keep interrupting it with 20 or so minutes of programming?
Out for a quiet (you must be joking!) meal tonight. Overrun staff delighted that there’s just one more

Christmas packed away into the attic, all lights perfectly wrapped and working. So at what point in the year do the gremlins break into my roof space and tie them in knots for next December?

Spotted (and bought) today. A packet of Opal Fruits. It’s a throwback in time. Does this spell the end for Starburst? Why haven’t I been told? Might this mean a return for Opal Mints, Spangles and the Marathon?

On the face masks issue, shops in NI have an easy way to police it.
A four-word sign on the window/door would suffice - NO MASK = NO ENTRY.
Rather than drive trade away as some argue, it would appeal to customers. I'd certainly prefer to shop there!

Desperately sad to hear of the passing of Stephen Grimason. I served under him in the early 1980s when he was Banbridge Chronicle editor. Stephen taught me a huge amount and he had a massive influence on my early career. Sympathies to his wife Heather and daughter Jennifer.
