To put things a bit differently: Gen Z women are the most liberal, most feminist, and most LGBTQ-identifying generation ever—while Gen Z men are less liberal and feminist than Millennials and perhaps even show a significant decline in support for gay marriage

Gen Z's loneliness epidemic will only get worse because so much of what promises to "connect" us - AI bots, friendship apps, parasocial influencers - does the opposite. The priority isn't connection. It is keeping us scrolling, consuming, and putting in our card details.

The question I find myself asking whenever something is sold to me as "empowerment" is who does this actually serve? Because so often today women's struggles—our fears, insecurities, objectification—are commodified, repackaged, and sold back to us under the guise of feminism.

Forms of femininity can also be taken to the extreme. Negative feminine traits typically include emotional manipulation, passive-aggressiveness, narcissism and the weaponisation of gossip.
