Mitch Trubisky was always portrayed as some sort of dummy who just couldn't grasp Nagy's offense. Foles & Dalton were brought in to "execute" Nagy's offense. They're smart. They're veterans. And guess what, they can't execute jack squat. It's always been Nagy. They screwed Mitch.

As a reminder, even if #Bears drafted Mahomes instead of Trubisky, Mahomes still wouldn't be anywhere close to the QB we know today. That's why I'm glad Justin Fields only saw the tail end of Nagy/Pace's tenure. It's all about where you end up.

Nobody expected much from #Bears offense, but I sure as hell expected more than 3 points deep into the 3rd Q. All the things Bill Lazor brought to this offense somehow vanished after Nagy reportedly started to get more involved in playcalling again. Offense is broken BEYOND QB.

Maybe it was a “meaningless game” but I was excited. The 1-10 Niners. I put on my good luck clothes. I even baked cookies in the shape of the Bears logo for Christ’s sake. For the first time in my life I baked. And John Fox took those oven mitts and threw them right in my face.

Season over. What a fool I was for thinking the #Bears would score more than 9 points. Very humbling. By the by... points per game after Matt Nagy gave up playcalling duties: 33 points per game after Matt Nagy reportedly became more involved in playcalling again: 12.5
