The Mario Games are so over the top cartoony and stylized that they would look absolutely terrible in live action. The Sonic Games are very stylized but are grounded enough in reality that they can transfer much better over to live action.

@TheKevstermania I don’t think a lot of Shadow’s portrayal in IDW is Flynn’s fault. Many writers have come out and said that due to Sega’s VERY strict rules for Shadow, it is nearly impossible to write him and so most writers just don’t add him in. I think that is slowly changing thanks to Flynn
