The club’s founders started this club in his memory and are trying to use football as a way to end the stigma around mental health.

@HibsinCommunity
do an excellent job providing lunches for those most in need during this cost of living crisis. Great effort from all involved.
Finished our charity walk - 100 streets around Edinburgh
Good effort from the troops and it was a “true” 100 streets - no just putting a toe on a street and counting it. Coulda had 30 more otherwise!

Apologies for no second half updates as I was playing in the game!
But what an amazing turnout and thanks to Carisbrooke and everyone who came down and helped us raise so much money for mental health charities.
We stand with David Cox.
The unforgivable incident that occurred during tonight's match must not be downplayed.

Let’s hope we get the victory. 💗
Full Time: Mental Mechanics 3-3 Balerno.
We were 2-0 down after conceding two headed goals but goals fae Ayo Roberts. Kerr Milne and Jon Fraser had us leading 3-2 at half-time.
We couldn’t quite see it out after conceding a goal with about ten to to go.
It’s our first ever game today. We are playing away to KSQ of South Queensferry.
A big thank you to all our amazing supporters, sponsors and everyone else who has had made this possible.
It will be a great day I’m sure, although a tough game against a team leagues above us.
Charlie Sanda sent off for the opposition player kicking the ball at him and their manager then asking him for a fight after the game… seen some bad decisions but that may take the biscuit

Don’t see the problem here lol very strange

Belated Post📍The team completed a 20Km sponsored walk throughout the City of Edinburgh on Sunday 27th November.
As we don’t require our team members to pay “subs”, it’s important that we raise money ourselves to fund the annual costs of the club.
Great Work Troops👏💖
It will be brilliant getting to repay back some of the support that local Forres townspeople have shown us since we got up and running.
So much love to you all & can’t wait to see the turnout tomorrow at Mosset Park - the home of Forres Mechanics of who we derive our name from💗

Our first resource to check out is Campaign Against Living Miserably, CALM.
@theCALMzone
We will be working with them throughout the year. We have their crest on our sleeves.
They provide life saving support and do amazing suicide prevention work.
Sare yin the day as for 83 minutes we were ahead or level with the best team in the league.
They bossed it second half and it’s a big learning curve for us as a brand new team.
Definitely positives to take from this and hopefully we can kick on.
All the best to Loganlea.
Thanks again for the game guy. Yous were a cut above a team playing just their second ever game and yous played very well.
We’re delighted with the run out though as I’m sure it will put us in good stead when Division 4 starts.
Good luck with the rest of the season
Great run out today against Mental Mechanics. Some lovely football from our boys in the first half and some great team goals. Mechanics perked up in the second half and played some great football. Cheers for the game guys
@fc_mental
Countdown to the start of the season is on!
Man of the Match for the second week running is Liam Kelly who has been absolutely excellent having played at least 45 minutes at left back, right back and centre half in our first two games.
I’ll leave you tonight with this photo that Josh shared with us earlier.
This is so relevant to us all on
#MentalHealthAwarenessDay
- even more so during the coronavirus pandemic.
Thanks for reading the thread.
The match report from Mental Mechanics first ever game is now live on Facebook.
Lewis Temple grabbed both goals today. Therefore, he is the all time top scorer for us with 100% of the club’s goals.

Defeat on Saturday in the 1st round of the Rex Gallagher cup on penalties to
@CorrieDynamoFC
. We never really got going throughout the whole game and our opponents progressing was a fair result. All the best to Corstorphine Dynamo for the season
Another action packed game. Playing 60/70 mins with 10 men, surviving a missed penalty and having a potential winner chalked off. Honking performance with 11 but proud of the lads playing for each other and getting the equaliser once down to 10. All the best to
