It’s time for
@NYGovCuomo
to mobilize
@NationalGuardNY
we cannot have nightly riots and violence on the streets of NYC.
@NYCMayor
is no longer capable of handling the situation. Things are spiraling out of control!
After a thorough review of our parking permit privileges
@NYC_Buildings
I have decided to rescind 34/86 parking placards issued to our agency (roughly 40%). Only emergency use & vehicles on official city business will keep them. These will be surrendered and returned to
@NYC_DOT
I just woke up & NYC is still smoldering from civil unrest.
@NYCMayor
has lost control of the situation. Even some of his closest allies have abandoned ship. It’s time for
@NYGovCuomo
to step in & remove him from office. I will be calling for a vote of no confidence
@NYCCouncil
Sobriety is a journey, not always a struggle. Today I am 9 months sober — not a drop! Thank you to my friends and family who have supported me along the way 🙏
I am disgusted by
@NYCMayor
and
@NYGovCuomo
unfairly targeting the religious Jewish community in NYC. Newsflash:
#COVID
does not discriminate. Every neighborhood needs testing, PPE and support.
@TheJusticeDept
needs to investigate the government's response to this crisis ASAP!
It’s time to allow indoor dining in NYC.
@NYGovCuomo
is a tyrant who is killing jobs and wrecking the restaurant industry. Long Island is thriving while the 5 boroughs is at the breaking point. And don’t even get me started about
@NYCMayor
— two peas in a pod
Today's update on the numbers:
Of the 93,873 tests reported yesterday, 635 were positive (0.67% of total).
Total hospitalizations fell to 458.
Sadly, there were 7 COVID fatalities yesterday.
1 year ago today I gave up drinking. It was the best decision I ever made. My sobriety makes me a better person, parent and public servant. I know I couldn’t have done it without the prayers and support of my family and friends. Thank you all!
#SaturdayMotivation
I am not a fan of
@IlhanMN
but I think people on both sides of the aisle should strongly condemn this blatant bigotry and Islamophobia. Threats of violence against anyone is never acceptable!
A New York man is in custody after having been arrested and charged with threatening to assault and murder Rep. Ilhan Omar because of her Muslim faith, according to a criminal complaint and accompanying affidavit.
The COVID pandemic has affected people in different ways. I regret to say that I developed a drinking problem. What used to be mainly a social activity, and a way to cope with stress, has now become too frequent and self-destructive.
.
@NYGovCuomo
is killing off the already decimated restaurant industry in NYC. The city-wide blanket closure announced today is arbitrary, unnecessary and will cause irreparable harm to our economy. I hope the voters remember this when King Cuomo runs for a 4th term in 2022
Today is a significant milestone for me — I am celebrating 90 days of sobriety. Not a drop for three straight months and I feel great! If I can do it, so can you! It’s never too late to take back your life.
#soberlife
Best fucking opposition research in my 10+ years in elected office!
It took a while but someone finally uncovered the fact that I was raised a
@Yankees
fan! 😳
My constituents want the beach open this summer. They will observe social distancing and follow the rules.
@NYCMayor
is living in La-La Land if he thinks they will stay off the sand and out of the water. If he tries, I will personally lead the protest to reopen Rockaway Beach
Today I am celebrating another milestone — 150 days sober. I thank the good Lord and my friends and family who have supported me throughout this journey. It’s never too late to change your life for the better. If I can do it, so can you.
#MondayMotivation
I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed as a Senior Advisor
@NYCMayorsOffice
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve in the
@ericadamsfornyc
Administration. I look forward to helping him implement his vision for a better New York
Today is my 11 month sober anniversary 🎉 Thanks be to God 🙏I am grateful and content. As I always tell others, it’s never too late to turn your life around for the better. If I can do it, so can you! You are stronger than you think. And you are worth it 🙂
#wednesdaythought
I am deeply disturbed to hear and see what happened yesterday in Midtown. Our city has almost become numb to the rise of violence and antisemitism. We cannot ignore or tolerate the fact that Jews are being targeted, harassed and now violently attacked on the streets of NYC.
Around 5AM this morning I was taken to
@JamaicaHospital
after fainting in my apt. I tested negative for COVID but a CT scan revealed that I may have appendicitis. I will be here for overnight observation. Please say a prayer for me and the nurses and doctors here. Thank you!
Today I am happy to share with you that I am six months sober. Up until now I've been counting days. Now its time to make the days count. It's never too late to turn your life around. If you have a drinking problem, consider
@AlcholicsAnonAA
#sobriety
I am ready to move on with my life so that I can be a better father, friend and public servant. I know this will not be easy for me and ask for your prayers and support. Thank you!
Today is an end of an era — my last
@NYCCouncil
Stated Meeting. I dedicated 12+ years of my life to making our city a better place. Thank you to my constituents for giving me this great honor. Thank you to my colleagues for your help and friendship. I had a good run. Love -Eric
Congratulations to Public Advocate- Elect
@JumaaneWilliams
on winning a hard fought campaign. The people of our great city have put their trust and faith in you.
I am asking all New Yorkers to join me in rooting for your success!
The close and cordial relationship between the late Justices Scalia and Ginsberg is proof that true friendships are built on the bonds of character, not shared ideology.
considering the ridiculous cost to the taxpayers I believe
@nyccharter
and
@NYCCouncil
should change the law to allow
@JumaaneWilliams
to finish out the remainder of the term of office. The fact that the winner must run again this November is simply absurd!
After talking about this with my family and friends, I have decided to finally quit and get sober. I am not embarrassed or ashamed in anyway to admit that I abused alcohol for far too long.
I don’t agree with
@KalmanYeger
on every issue but I believe in free speech — even when it’s unpopular or politically incorrect. He has a right to his opinion.
@NYCCouncil
is supposed to be a forum for debate and the exchange of ideas. This is getting out of hand!
I too have regrets about my unequivocal support for stop & frisk in 2013. I have admitted to
@JumaaneWilliams
and
@NYCMayor
on more than one occasion that they were right and I was wrong.
@MikeBloomberg
issued a powerful apology today and I would like to do the same. I’m sorry.
When we defeat
#coronavirus
once and for all, I wholeheartedly believe we should honor NYC healthcare workers with a ticker-tape parade down the canyon of heroes
@NYCHealthSystem
“Putting
@NYCFirstLady
in charge of the newly created task force on racial inclusion and equity is a great idea,” -said No One Ever... By the way, what ever happened to all that money for ThriveNYC?
@MentalHealthNYC
How many Jews have to be attacked, harassed and assaulted on the streets of New York before people in positions of power / law enforcement wake up and take this threat seriously? Enough is enough already! No more tweets/press releases. The time for action is now!
#Antisemitism
It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the passing of my budget Director and friend Matthew Pecorino. He passed away suddenly yesterday at the age of 40. Matt was a loyal, loving, and dedicated individual. He will be sorely missed
@NYCCouncil
It’s no secret I’m not a fan of
@BilldeBlasio
or his progressive agenda but
@SBANYPD
President declaring war on
@NYCMayor
is really irresponsible and downright dangerous. we need to work together to build the bonds of trust and respect between
@NYPDnews
and community
We cannot allow houses of worship to be desecrated.
@StPatsNYC
is a national treasure and those who vandalized it should be swiftly prosecuted by
@ManhattanDA
P.O. Rivera had his whole life ahead of him — he was only 22. He was killed last night protecting our beloved city and gave the last full measure of devotion to that cause. We will never forget his valor and bravery. Let us honor him and keep his memory alive always
#NeverForget
I have accepted an offer to join the Trump Administration. This was a difficult decision for me to make. The last 10 years on
@NYCCouncil
has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Thank you to my constituents for giving me to opportunity to represent them at City Hall
Tomorrow I’m voting for my good friend Councilman
@JoeBorelliNYC
for NYC Public Advocate. If you’re tired of the Mayor and his socialist agenda — vote for Joe on the Republican or Conservative Party lines 🗳
I’m not Jewish but I believe in religious freedom and the rights of parents to send their children to the school of their choosing. It’s never a good idea for the government to dictate the curriculum at a Yeshiva. Are catholic schools next? via
@WSJOpinion
I never met my biological father growing up but I had plenty of positive male role models to look up to. Here’s to all the great Dads and surrogates who make a difference. Have a wonderful day!
Today I am calling on
@DOEChancellor
to change
@NYCSchools
protocols for COVID-19 related closures. While we can all agree that the safety of our children and DOE staff is the highest priority – no other businesses, offices, or facilities have such strict standards.
With all due respect to my fellow candidates: I have been the only 1 criticizing Mayor de Blasio's presidential delusions. He is not qualified for the presidency, & he can't handle the rigors of his current job. As Public Advocate I will hold him accountable.
#NYCVotes
Media reports of
@NYPDnews
selective enforcement targeting the religious Jewish community is very disturbing. Everyone in NYC needs to follow
@CDCgov
#COVID
guidelines on social distancing. Issuing summonses to some and handing out masks to others is unfair and discriminatory
A little snow + a lot of government incompetence = nightmare commute for New Yorkers.
@NYCMayor
and
@MTA
dropped the ball on this one, BIG TIME!
Get the shovel ready folks... it’s time to clean house!
#Snowvember
#nycsnow
The American people have spoken. Congratulations to President-elect
@JoeBiden
and Vice-President elect
@KamalaHarris
#Election2020
is over. It’s time to unite our country and allow for the peaceful transition of power.
Let me be clear, I will vote against any deliberate attempt to de-fund
@NYPDnews
we simply cannot compromise public safety or put New Yorkers at greater risk
@NYCCouncil
@NYCMayor
while the other candidates try to walk back their outspoken opposition to Amazon just remember which candidate was onboard since day 1. Accept No Imitations!
@amazon
The most liberal democrat in the race for Public Advocate is
@NomikiKonst
hands down! The other so called progressives are closet capitalists compared to this left-wing nut
I just had the honor to shake this man’s hand — 95 year old WWII Army Veteran John Cortese. He landed on Omaha Beach 75 years ago as part of the Normandy Invasion. God bless the greatest generation! Please join me in thanking this American hero for his service
So
@NYCMayor
announces support for the commuter tax on the outer boroughs on the same day as the
#SpecialElection
🙄
I am opposed to Congestion Pricing and as the next Public Advocate I will stand up for the forgotten middle class!
If I did decide to run for Public Advocate I would make holding the
@MTA
accountable my top priority. Subway and bus service in this city has never been worse!
Two years ago today I made up my mind and quit drinking. I don’t miss it, not one bit. Trust me when I say, life is so much better when you’re sober. I did it for myself and for the people I love. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made. Thank you all for your support!
Breaking tonight: Industry City developers pull application for rezoning, after slate of Congress members including
@RepJeffries
came out against it today.
@JanakiChadha
has the scoop:
Congratulations to the newly elected
@NYCCouncil
Minority Leader
@JoeBorelliNYC
Also, wishing the best to my friend and colleague
@StevenMatteo
as he embarks on the next adventure
Two great guys!
To be humble in victory and gracious in defeat displays a strength of character and a level of integrity. Congrats again to our next Public Advocate

Just a reminder to anyone who cares about the homeless that while the shelter population is at an all-time high,
@NYCMayor
is in New Hampshire running for President 🙄
I’m term limited. I’m not running for President. I have no other motivation other than to admit my fault on this issue. People in public office often make mistakes and we should be allowed to make amends. Once again, I apologize
I regret to inform you that I am not the winner of tonight’s Mega Millions Jackpot. And while I am obviously disappointed, I accept the numbers and won’t challenge the results in court. To the millions of Americans who put their dollar on a dream, I say thank you and Godspeed!
Given the seriousness of the situation, it’s time
@NYCMayor
closes
@NYCSchools
so parents have enough time to make other arrangements. We can’t put our children, teachers and administrators in harms way. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

What a despicable / insensitive comment to make! The little boy hasn’t even been laid to rest yet and
@mayawiley
is already trying to capitalize on this tragedy.
A ten-year-old was shot and killed last night in The Rockaways. The NYPD couldn’t protect him, but they could march through a park in riot gear, terrorizing people to enforce an arbitrary curfew. We need change. I’ll be sharing my vision for change at 2pm today @ Broad & Wall St.
Police Officer Wilbert Mora died as he lived — a hero. My prayers are with his family, friends and the entire NYPD during this difficult time
@NYCPBA
@NYPDnews
@NYPD32Pct
Thank you all for your kind messages, well wishes, prayers, and words of encouragement. The doctors, nurses and medical professionals at Jamaica Hospital went above and beyond to get me back on my feet. I am being discharged now and look forward to resting at home.
I disagree with
@NYCMayor
handling of the situation yesterday in Brooklyn. In my opinion, he used poor judgement. But I know
@BilldeBlasio
better than most & I can honestly say he doesn’t have a racist bone in his body. He’s might be a schmuck sometimes but he’s not anti-semitic
In light of rising crime, fiscal woes and now today’s court decision blocking the jail replacement in Chinatown, it’s time for
@NYCMayor
to reconsider closing Rikers Island
