In the past 24 hours, over 30 Tennesseans have died from COVID19, bringing our death toll up to 13,000 (14 of these were school aged children.) 9,074 school-aged children have tested positive. And as of today, there are 43 children hospitalized, with 16 of them being on a vent.

At the beginning of 2020, I had less than 15% vision in my right eye due to a growth. I was undergoing a form of radiation and had a small procedure. I’m done with treatment and have regained about 85% of my sight. Today, my new glasses came in. Here’s celebratory pictures.

Get excited political nerds. We have at-large polling! Delishia Porterfield (40%) and Quin Evans-Segall (38%) are well ahead in the field of eight candidates. The next tier is Burkley Allen by herself at 31%. The remaining 5 candidates are clustered together in a virtual tie.

A 🧵: I grew up in a single parent household with 5 kids on an income of 35k. We didn’t own a tv. I was gifted one for getting into college- less than 18 in and people joked their laptops were bigger. Today, I purchased my very first tv - 75 inch (80p)-no clue what that means)

My heart is heavy for my community in Memphis and Collierville today. I'm pissed off at senseless gun violence. I'm sad for the victims. I'm worried for the injured. To be clear, none of my emotions match that of the victims or their families. I hope they find healing and peace.
