After 46 years of service Deana is retiring. She has been a great support in our office for our constituents. Never a problem she couldn’t handle with grace and efficiency. We will miss you.
View from my office window today. My Dad , M.M. Haile had me on a tractor cutting hay at the age of 12-13. A special time was spent with him and my father-in-law, Bill Roberson cutting hay together on this farm after I married my neighbor’s daughter.
At the end of a day working together in the hay field, my Dad, my Father-in-law and I would pull the tractors under a shade tree and share a coke, and sometimes a moon pie! Today, I had the pleasure of my daughter, Katie riding with me
Thank you Commissioner Schwinn (in the middle of the students) for coming to Sumner County to visit our schools and see the great work being done by our teachers.
This morning, I picked up my re-election petition alongside the other members of the Sumner and Trousdale Co delegation! As a public servant, I am committed to building upon our past achievements and continuing to work toward a better future for District 18!
Governor Bill Lee and the Department of Children's Services has recognized this week as "Adoption is Love week". We celebrate the 1,169 Tennessee children who were adopted from foster care in 2020.
As the 111th TN General Assembly convenes today, I am reminded of those that have served before me. Anna Durham Windrow’s great grandfather served in the 66th. He was responsible for the first Hwy 109 bridge across the Cumberland River between Sumner and Wilson Counties
Today marks two great occasions. First, it is Kay’s Birthday. Second, it is our 50th wedding anniversary!! I have been blessed by this lovely lady. She has a heart of service to the Lord, blessing our children and friends with love and happiness, and encouragement to me.
Today, history was made. “Noah’s Law” was signed into law by Governor Bill Lee. I am honored to have carried this bill alongside Representative Johnny Garrett, and help give a voice to the voiceless.

Congratulations Senator Gresham on a great tour of duty in the Tennessee General Assembly. Thank you for always putting children first as you chaired the Education Committee.
I had the pleasure of speaking to the Julia Green Elementary School students about how the legislative process works. Let me say this, they had great questions. I am very hopeful for their futures!
Today
@GovBillLee

Saddened to learn of the death of one of our Hendersonville Police Officers in the line of duty. Please pray for Master Patrol Officer Spencer Bristol’s family.
My thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones, possessions, and their way of life. I’m grateful for all the volunteers and agencies walking beside this great community.

The Spencer Bristol Act will hopefully save lives. This law will increase the penalty for criminal when fleeing the police when such an act results in an officer’s injury or death.
So happy to be a part of Safe Baby Courts! Thanks to all the judges, coordinators,

,
@momatate
& TN Dept if Mental Health for making these courts happen!

Support our local farmers. Kay and I picked blue berries and black berries this morning at Kelly’s farm in Trousdale County. Lots of berries remaining and easy picking.

More Tennesseans are now eligible for free mental health services. Beginning July 1, MH coverage for the state’s uninsured was given an additional $5M. By changing the income criteria federal poverty level to 138%, 7,000 more Tennesseans will receive safety net services.
Tomorrow, our small family travels to Washington as my privileged service to the people of the 6th District of TN is set to begin. God blessed us with this opportunity & that's how we will serve, as a family. Blessings to you & yours this New Year!
