You have no idea what you’re talking about. Give me a call. I’ll tel you the other side of the story as an aboriginal leader who was on the front of this project from day one.
After setting up a blockade to protect their land, community, and sacred headwaters Wedzin Kwa from Coastal GasLink’s planned fracked gas pipeline, the Wet’suwet’en Nation has faced militarized raids from the RCMP. We must protect the rights of land defenders.
My First Nations band went from being one of the poorest to one that could contribute 300k to our local hospital to fight covid. All this from working with, not against, our resource sector. Its amazing not being beggers in our own house anymore
Mining and exploration industries donate $100K to B.C. food banks in a time of growing need.
Beyond the jobs, tax revenues and other benefits, this is yet another example of our natural

BC citizens” we can’t afford gas/diesel! We can’t afford groceries! We can’t get a family Doctor! Nurses are burnt out! We’re tired of the prolific offenders catch and release program! BC NDP “don’t worry, we’re spending a billion $$ on a new museum!!
an attempt was made to set a vehicle on fire while workers were inside. The attackers wielded axes, swinging them at vehicles and through a truck's window. Flare guns were also fired at workers. All coordinated and wearing camouflage
Real environmentalists are embracing this movie. Agenda driven activists are condemning it. It took courage for the people in this film to investigate and expose the impact and truth about green energy
Do you have a solution for First Nations poverty? Or the amount of kids going into government care? Or first nations suicide? Do you even know any facts on who brought The LNG dream to BC? It was us!the First Nations. Come up here: I’ll enlighten you.
Drilling is imminent for the Royal Bank of Canada’s Coastal GasLink pipeline on Wet’suwet’en land. Meanwhile,

Europe wants to designate LNG as “Green”. Germany is quickly building two LNG import terminals. Asia/India want our energy. BC response?Lets add more taxes to fuel for BC’ers. Now more than ever, we need an energy policy that is based on BC citizens
WHAT KIND OF STUPID, CONDESCENDING, PATRONIZING GARBAGE IS THIS??? DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE ABORIGINALS ARE TOO DUMB TO DETERMINE WHATS BEST FOR US??? YOU AND YOUR CRONIES HAVE TAKEN OVER THE INDIAN ACT IN KEEPING US DOWN
Don’t fall for this again Canadians. Check out who the top global polluters are as well as who are the top exporters of oil and gas. It’s certainly not Canada and this pipeline has signed agreements with all the affected First Nations along the pipeline route
The free world now knows the mistakes they made by demonizing oil & gas; citizens and society’s are now paying the price. Incredible amounts of time and money will be needed to dismantle the politicians false promises and trashing of the energy sector
All these leaders demanding respect but at the same time show incredible disrespect to our elected chief and councils, our communities and more importantly our members. Don’t expect me to stop fighting for a better future.
What a crock. What definition of reconciliation do you use? Youre efforts to divide canada and first nations goes against both the dictionary and rights and title definition. Did you know it was my first nation who “ forced”LNG on the BC govt?
Gas and diesel prices are out of our control because we don’t have our own supply. So let’s change our supply problem! A new refinery could be the start of a domestic energy strategy!
We need something to combat the Covid recession? Why not look at what keeps economies going in the first place? Forestry, mining, oil and gas have gotten local communities thru the worst times. Instead of taxing them and downloading costs, support them
A lot of us live in the real world. Getting to work, school, appointments or even events means getting into a vehicle and not into a rhetorical sound bite.
"Right now I encourage people to think before you hop in the car. Do you need to make that trip?" B.C. Premier John Horgan says he is more worried about the inflationary impacts on food prices than the cost at the pump and gas taxes.
In Canada, We already have examples of societies that have no capitalism. They’re called Reserves and are (were) under control of Government under the Indian Act. Be careful what you wish for, you might get it
Your fake sentiments are making this worse. Did u know it was my band that forced the BC govt to start looking at LNG seriously?? Finally Christy Clark came along and listened to us. At least try Do your homework before using us.
Yes there are indigenous leaders that support new pipelines & expanding oil & gas development. This is not surprising given that indigenous communities have highest unemployment, over represented in low paying jobs,most jailed & highest suicide rates in Canada

Thread 1/
There’s nothing left in BC for the provincial gov’t to ignore or mismanage: no Drs, no nurses, no ambulances, no consequences for prolific offenders, no support for the economy
Today, the 1st welds for the LNGC pipeline happened here in Kitimat BC!! 16 yrs later from when i first came across LNG to seeing another historic milestone. Congratulations BC, Canada and First Nations
The decision to run federally was just as tough as when we decided to resign as Haisla Chief Councillor to run as MLA. No idea what the future holds but we deeply appreciate the support over the years. Thank you Skeena. Thank you BC. See you soon
Highest gas prices with no end in sight. Cost of Groceries still climbing. Autism funding cut. BC Resource economy that could’ve heped pay for it all being shutdown. What does BC Government do in response?? Spend $1,000,000 on a museum nobody asked for. Smh
Im so sorry im too dumb to determine whats best for my ppl. You R far superior to any of my leaders who came before me.Please forgive me for the future that my kids are currently living above the poverty line. I was wrong to fight for my country too. So sorry
Dear Canada, we have enough oil & gas development & pipelines to meet our needs while we transition cleaner safer low carbon economy. Building new ones is not consistent w Paris agreement &
#climateemergency
how about we just stop pushing them on indigenous communities?

I don’t give a rat’s ass what celebrities/pseudo-scientists say. the idea that canadian resources are evil but USA/Saudi Arabian resources are good is just plain garbage.Canada will continue to be treated like dirt if we don’t stand up to demarketing campaigns
I was able to address a lotta issues in my time as Chief and Council but The tearing apart of Canada is something thats got me stumped. The foreign$$$/the slick campaign/ plus the smart organizers are brilliant at getting Canadians to shut down Canada
My full statement.
These Activists from outside Canada, who are collaborating with University Professors and Non Government Organizations from Ontario & British Columbia are not our friends. Nobody in their right mind would seek to damage their own people and Canadians at large.
And you’re a professor too??How do you sleep at night knowing you’re using the most vulnerable and disadvantaged ppl for your and USA’s purposes?? Stop using first nations to shutdown canada. You got your $2 million already. Isnt that enough?
How many reports do we need about rising costs of extreme weather, the billions this country has spent on fires and floods in the last couple of years alone before we actually listen to these indigenous leaders & start building cleaner safer infrastructure instead of more O&G?
MT
@candicegartist
: If Canadians want to help indigenous people, stop allowing US environmental organizations to keep Indigenous peoples below the poverty line. Allow our people to make decisions for ourselves. And please stop the blockades. It’s only causing more division!
was hard for me to believe what she was saying but when she showed me the research, i was shocked and angry. If you are upset at what’s happening to Canada, follow this lady. Im aboriginal, love this country and i dont like Canada being manipulated like this

We never did hear if they caught the people who terrorized pipeline workers in BC. Heard nothing about police cars burned in Smithers BC and now this?? 80 churches burned in Canada??
Another church been burned by some scum.
This is the historic Blessed Sacrament Parish church in Regina, Saskatchewan.
That's over 80 churches in Canada now.
Tides Canada changes their name to “Makeway charitable society” Makeway buys property from BC ministers family for $2.3 million and then successfully lobbies BC gov’t for $15 million.potential Conflict of interest aside; $15million for an anti resource ENGO?
Don’t cancel Canada day. Can you imagine how significant it would be for First Nations and non-First Nations to be together on this day. We need this as part of our collective healing
So far today I have been subject to bullying, threatened and called a "hysterical Jewess" (people say that?!) and an "eco terrorist who is trying to destroy the country" and its only 2 pm. Really glad its Friday.
This is like the leader of the Civil Liberties Union encouraging people to burn down churches!!! British Columbians!! This is the sentiment that is tearing us apart!!
BC intentionally stifles oil/gas, shuts down forestry, intentionally increases costs/red tape for businesses, intentionally increases taxes and the cost of living intensifies: is there any other jurisdiction that works against their own citizens?
I ws always frustrated First Nations couldn’t cooperate w/each other to build a strong future. Now i see Canada operates the same way. Provinces pretend to like each other but block each other. Why isn’t BC and Alberta partners?
USA breaks records for LNG exports. Asia/India need alternative to coal. Europe in political energy crisis. BC refuses to ship additional clean BC LNG off BC shores! SMH!! What a way to run a province
Does BC want affordable/safe energy? David Black had an idea for a safe refinery to be built in Northern BC. There is another proposal to ship out crude oil in its purest form to Asia. First Nations support clean and safe energy already; does BC?
Indigenous or not,outside interference affects all of us as & if we don’t push backALL of us will feel the pain. Its not a bad thing to be proud of your country and want to build a better future for us and our descendants. Stop beating yourselves up Canada
division politics;picking sides;virtue signaling;race baiting;statues pulled down and decapitated; First Nations rock paintings defaced; all the while our govts post huge deficits with no plan to pay it off in the middle of a pandemic. Where are we going?
The first of the massive modules has arrived in Kitimat for LNG Canada!!! Anyone who says LNG expansion shouldn’t be part of BC’s future is not watching what’s happening in Europe, China or India!
Oh Please great USA funded saviour. I bow to your greater intellect and your USA masters. I was only trying to help my ppl out of poverty and in turn unite Canada. Please fwd my apologies to your American masters. Forgive me for making a difference
Good News! BCNDP confirmed CGL LNG pipeline will be completed/Wet’suwet’en Rights and title negotiations will NOT affect the completion of the lawfully approved LNG pipeline. Private lands and public assets (e.g. highways) are NOT on the table either
Activists and university professors are misrepresenting rights and title issues in BC. Im thinking that will be my next vid to explain a very good process that First Nations helped develop
And the hits just keep on coming BREAKING NEWS: US Sen. Mike Lee has introduced legislation to allow cruise ships to permanently bypass BC's destination ports
Kitimat Hospital Foundation has been fundraising for yrs to purchase a $3 million CT Scanner. Last night, LNG Canada donated the remaining the 900 k needed. The room was shocked and over joyed. An amazing moment to witness and got it on fb live!!
Are we encouraging those who don’t like lawful decisions to resort to violence ?? Where does this end? What are we teaching the next generation? BC; you are not bad people! The world should be following our example. Speak against this type of leadership!!
Don’t listen to the union of bc indian chiefs or bc civil liberties union. Don’t “burn it all down”. Arson is a form of violence and our communities deserve better than unchecked violence. violence is going to make things worse, including retaliation
UBCIC stands in strong solidarity with
@HarshaWalia
in condemning the brutally gruesome genocide of residential "school" system by Canada and Church while crown stole FN land.She is a highly respected and valued ally; we are grateful for her ongoing support and leadership
@bccla
It was reading Patrick Moores posts that made me think. Then it was Michael Moores film, “the planet of humans” and now this. I never heard of Michael Shllenberger but this is a brave apology.
Good question!! Why haven’t activists groups and celebrities opposed Gas and Oil projects happening in their own backyard (USA)??!! Cmon Canada! Grow a backbone. Fight for your future, your standard of living, for your kids and grandkids! Thats all I’m doing!
Should Hollywood celebs be attacking First Nation-supported pipelines in Canada (of which they know very little, if anything, about)?
Especially as U.S. builds miles of new pipeline in their own backyard?

are arguing that blocking expansion of Oil & gas blocks indigenous 'generational' opportunity to lift out of poverty. Begs the question of why the last 20 years of development which made billions in profit did so little to support indigenous communities?
I still don’t understand how it’s ok to import fuel from the USA but not from a neighbouring Canadian province. Especially now that BCers are going to the states for gas and there are barges of gasoline coming to Vancouver from Washington state
the single biggest surprise to me, after coming from a band council, is how litte talk there is about good governance or financial responsibility. Its all politics and whats in it for me as opposed to whats good for our province/country or our kids futures.
Given the extraordinary circumstances, I don’t know how a recovery plan can be developed without the private sector like mining, forestry, oil and gas. Its also time to seriously talk about adding value to our natural gas before sending it to Asia.
Correction!!! Highest gas prices with no end in sight.Cost of Groceries still climbing.Autism funding cut.BC Resource economy that could’ve helped all but shutdown.BC Government response?? Spend “$1,000,000,000”on a museum nobody asked for. Smh
Regular people have never asked or cared about my lack of formal education. There are a lot of us out there that have little or no education and still did great things. True, I don’t have your college degrees but passion and knowledge means something too
In the second BC Liberal leadership debate, Val Litwin asked Ellis Ross about his credentials as a climate change expert.
@solomonreece
took issue - which led to something which shouldn't be extraordinary, but has become so: talking.
Canadians now know what first nations figured out. It sucks to be used, misinformed and manipulated for an ENGOs agenda. They are hiding in plain sight now that they know our govts refused to pass anti-foreign influence laws...twice!!
dicaprio,sarandon/other fly by nite aboriginal supporters. I spent 14 yrs trying to get our ppl out of poverty/u spent 30 secs trying to undo it with a tweet. If LNG fails, Will you replace the lost revenues FN communities R banking on over the next 40 yrs?
I watched BC kill off it’s full LNG potential. I’m watching forestry going down the toilet & now i see the beginning of the end for BC mining. All this shutdown mentality benefits everyone except BC and BC’ers. Smh
85 of 87 MLAs in Victoria agree this pipeline has to be built! Now can we get the full 26 million tons per annum approved as opposed to the current 6 million tons? Seriously! Who builds a pipeline for the purpose of using less than 1/4 of its capacity?
Ignore the Hollywood celebrities, and all the lies and misinformation. The CGL pipeline is critical to our economy and the world's energy security.
It's time to GET THIS PIPELINE BUILT! 🇨🇦👍
Can you see the day where your mayor and council are not chosen by you and there is no vote? provincial or federal govt for that matter? The day when your leader is chosen by bloodline? Democracy is not perfect but it does allow for citizens to engage or not.
Disgusted?? The NDP decriminalized fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, give out free gov’t opiods and had to be forced to get it out of public areas! What did they expect would happen?
BCNDP!! Reconsider the disrespect your party has shown towards democratically elected Chief and Councils, specifically Wetsueten Elected Leaders. It’s the elected leaders that signed onto LNG on behalf of their people and they condemn violence!!
??? Now he’s angry?? Why did it take so long to get angry?? Who’s he angry with…the mirror?? As Attorney General and as Premier, he heard the same catch and release stories that everyone else heard!
B.C. Premier David Eby isn’t mincing words, saying he is “white-hot angry” after it was reported the suspect in a triple stabbing in Chinatown was out on a day pass from a forensic psychiatric hospital.
Rebuild BC’s economy?Build the Olefins Polymer plant in Macleod lake. Build the BitCrude project at Pr Rupert. Build Topspeed project at Terrace. Build Cedar LNG in kitimat, Build KMLNG; all shovel ready projects and won’t take taxpayer $$$
Wetsueten members and elected leaders have been trying to be heard for years. Outsiders and the NDP refused to listen to them and instead, ignored and insulted them. Shameful
Todays the day. A lot of people worked really hard on our campaign and it shows. My grandkids bailed at the last minute but my brother showed up unexpectedly. Thanks British Columbians for your incredible support!!!
The NDP Premier is wrong. LNG is NOT “worn out” & it was 1st Nations who came up with the LNG idea back in 2004 & with good reason!!Thx to all those First Nations that stood up for economic reconciliation over the years
NDP logic; fire BC healthcare workers who don’t get the vaccine shot to protect patients.
Also NDP logic: we’re sending 10,000 cancer patients to Washington where there is no vaccine mandate for healthcare workers
Health care worker shortage/crisis?
2700 “ADDITIONAL” BC ferry sailings, more than one million ppl to visit Vancouver via cruise ships plus Governor Insley’s american oil tankers but the NDP swear it will be Canadian Tankers that will affect orcas and salmon. Oh ya, and be quiet about sewage
So another day for the NDP in the

@MarlinSchmidtAB
celebrates the 1st female British PM's death?!
"I can still go on to enjoy the fact that Margaret Thatcher is dead. The only thing I regret about Margaret Thatcher's death is that it happened probably 30 years too late"
Road and rail blockades springing up across the country in recent weeks may seem like spontaneous reactions to current events – but organizers have been laying the blueprint for this kind of co-ordinated national action for a long time.
Dear Tzeporah.thank you for taking over the Indian Act in oppressing aboriginals in BC with your USA$$$. Can you come to my village and teach me how to tie my shoes?? Im sure the generations of leaders who fought for this day of success would appreciate it.
Reconciliation means to bring two groups back together. Canadians want to be with First Nations on Canada day to continue mourning and healing. The events can be expanded on but being together is the significant point
The energy crisis will be here for a long time. I agree with the supply and demand issue regarding gasoline and diesel in that we should be looking at increased capacity at BC refineries or even building new to reduce our dependency on outside jurisdictions
Throughout my investigations into safer supply, I’ve found that the healthcare professionals who oppose it most strongly tend to have lived experience with addiction, or have close family members who have.
They viscerally understand what’s at stake with bad government policies.
Afghan girl landing in Belgium. No words to describe this but confirms something i learned early in my political life. Regardless of our issues, Canada is still a great country. I’d hashtag grateful if i knew what a hashtag is
There seems to be a new interest in hearing out true Wetsueten members as well as from the 3 female chiefs who got their titles taken away because they wanted a future. Take a listen Leo. You’ll see we did years of work before you came along
Rex Murphy wrote an article talking about Resource Development and First Nations. I was incredibly honored and grateful for his courage to speak up. His support definitely made a difference. Rest in Peace Rex Murphy
Canadians!! Now that we are aware of their campaign against the Canadian resource sector, the online description has changed, including their participation in our elections.
@WendyMesleyCBC
WOW. Since
@WendyMesleyCBC
reported this, CorpEthics re-wrote its web-site, deleting that its strategy "from the very beginning" was to "land-lock" oil sands crude. Also deleted mention of influencing elections

This is crazy. The “settler” impact is what my elders talked about in terms of canneries and Forts where Aboriginals would travel to for trade and work. Of course there were bad stories, but there were good stories too. Add to the history, don’t erase it
Good frikken grief! The NDP asked the Federal gov’t to decriminalize fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, crystal meth as an experiment. The Feds agreed to the request now the NDP are trying to lay blame on the Feds??!! BCGONGSHOW!!!
I’m trying to rationalize this but decriminalizing illicit drugs w/o warning BC citizens about the true nature of addictive drugs? And now commercializing cocaine when BC can’t even manage black market marijuana? How is this a responsible experiment?
BCNDP directive to BC utilities commission—we want you to look at what is impacting high gas prices! Also BCNDP to BC utilities commission—you’re not allowed to investigate the impact of our taxes on high gas prices!! Transparency/accountability in action
First Nations knew the importance of getting clean BC LNG to China and India to limit the use of coal and reduce Global emissions. Europe/Germany now know the terms “energy dependence & “energy affordability “ in both cases, its the people who are suffering
Coming from a reserve, i could see how much an economy (lack of) matters to quality of life in todays day and age. We shouldn’t have to experiment with shutting down BC/Canada, when Venezuela has shown what happens already.
