I'm a fully vaccinated doctor. When I started working in the NHS, they made sure I'd taken other vaccines like MMR & Hepatitis B. It's not difficult: reducing your patient's risk of illness is part of being a responsible doctor. It's a simple privilege that goes a long way.

@KilclooneyJohn For those not getting this, while it's not exactly the most "hatey" of hate speech, it's a statement from a man in an entrenched position of power, referring to an elected woman of colour with dehumanising language. Propagating these views is very much part of systemic oppression

Novak Djokovic sums up one of the great problems of the pandemic: privilege. Here, we have a man of incredible wealth, spending time and money to *avoid* getting vaccinated. Meanwhile, most of Africa still doesn't even have access to a jab: vaccination rates are about 10%. 💉

The decay in British politics is best summed up by now the Tory Party have used Priti Patel and Suella Braverman. Successive home secretaries, who are both daughters of Asian-African asylum seekers. They've both been used to front grotesque policies that dehumanize migrants.

Ultimately, if we can find £37 billion under the sofa for Test and Trace, we can fund the NHS adequately. It's merely a question of political will. And by "political will" I mean kickbacks, and lack thereof.

@Nigel_Farage Wait, I thought you can only get tested as a member of the public if you have symptoms, and that if you have symptoms, you have to self-isolate. If you have symptoms, you shouldn't be travelling across continents. Lots to answer here. Cheers!
