Had a conversation today with a Trudeau hater. It was unbelievable the number of things she blamed Trudeau for that have nothing to do with the Feds. She also gave credit to Moe for things Trudeau has done. People do not know what falls under the province or Feds. Wonder why Moe?
I have been asking people who want privatized healthcare, "Why are you in favour of privatizing healthcare?" The only response I got was, "You can get in sooner." I then asked, "How do you know that?" and get no response.
I am so angry. I want my school taxes reimbursed so I can put them back into public school coffers. I did not want them to go to a private school that also benefits from tuition fees/sponsors, has different beliefs, and does not teach accredited curriculum.
I find it hard to believe that the people of SK want private for profit healthcare and education. Why then do we keep voting in a party that is taking us there?
Moe should focus on:
-children falling behind in reading/math and no supports
-children coming to school hungry
-child abuse
-EASL supports
-waiting lists for assessments and supports
-classroom size and complexity
Why is he ignoring real issues and focusing on a non issue ?
I think Moe has crossed the line with Liberals, NDP, and now even some Cons/SK Party. How disrespectful of our country, our Veterans, and to all of us who love Canada... "From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee."
It appears the Premier of Saskatchewan has ordered that the Canadian Flag be removed from various government offices…. Like media rooms. That’s the behaviour of a traitor and a separatist.
Are private schools taking funding and support from our diverse and complex needs in the public classrooms? Are they charging tuition, plus benefitting from our taxes, plus screening the children they accept?
In SK the SK Party will not listen to lawyers, doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, teachers, students, union workers, professors, economists, environmental scientists, addiction counsellors, Human Rights Commission, RCMP, and the list goes on... Why are they winning elections?
How many of us living in SK are worried about inflation, health, and education? My guess would be the majority of us. How many are worried about carbon tax and gas/oil? My guess would Moe, SK Party, oil companies, and wealthy investors. Who is the Sk Party taking care of?
Heart attacks in emergency, losing family doctors, teachers treated terrible and no bargaining, no consultation with experts, changing constitution, battles with federal government. What is going on SK Party? Things are getting worse, not better!
@saskndp
@SaskParty
Moe is concerned with "Federal Intrusion" while the SK people have needed and been saved by the financial and medical assistance the federal government provided during covid.
Teachers in Saskatchewan are bargaining for our children for things that are critical such as smaller class sizes and supports that have been lost from years of underfunding! The Sk Party is not listening and puts up false and misleading billboards about salaries…Pathetic!
I cannot think of a single thing the SK Party has done for me, my family, or my friends in the last four years to improve our lives? Am I missing something? (Unless organizing the administration of covid injections, but was that the SK Party or the Health Board?)
I don't want to live in a SK where:
- we have to leave the province for healthcare,
-money moves you to the front of the line,
-schools are not able to support kids,
-there are line ups at food banks,
-experts are not listened to,
-the list goes on...
We need better!
Shout out to our NDP MLAs who are eloquently and with great fortitude fighting in legislature for not only the rights of our most vulnerable, but also the rights and freedoms of all the people of SK. The SK Party have totally lost total touch with our province and our priorities.
In the Saskatoon city election I am not interested in voting for anyone who supports/has supported the SK Party, is right wing, or has not supported healthcare workers and teachers.
I hear parents complaining.... the answer is to call Scott Moe 306 787-9433 and Jeremy Cockrill 306 787-7360 and tell them to get to the table and bargain in good faith for your children vs. lying online and on billboards.
📢 NEWS RELEASE: Today, teachers are giving notice of a one-day withdrawal of noon-hour supervision and extracurricular activities that will take place Wednesday, February 28, at locations throughout the province.

How did hardworking, honest SK people get taken in by corrupt and dishonest politicians, who are dismantling our healthcare and education? Why do some people not see the glaring warning lights and continue to support them?
Growing up in SK there was always steadfast moral imperatives. Take care of the children, the elderly, and those who are sick and less fortunate. Some days I wonder where that has gone when I see some of the political decisions made. 😢
@PremierScottMoe
What part of classroom complexity and class size is the SK Party not hearing? It is all over the news and social media. It is about harm the ten years of cuts have caused to our children. Your cuts caused this mess so return to the table and work on fixing them.
It appears private is the way SK is going. We spent 70 million on private contracted nurses and I predict the same will soon happen in education. Wake up SK to the reality Moe and the SK Party are not only taking us backwards, but also putting our province in financial jeopardy.
We need to get the NDP back in power in SK to save all our public institutions before they are all gone and replaced by private corporate greed and we become the U.S. (especially healthcare and education).
@PremierScottMoe
Seriously, you are not paying it and think we should benefit. So many of us are angry about this move by the SK Party. We know the only one who benefits are your corporate donors that are responsible for the emissions and pollution. Give them more tax breaks at our expense!
The Con premiers had to call on Trudeau to clean up their mess with covid/healthcare. They called on Trudeau to clean up their housing, homeless, and daycare mess. They will be calling on him to clean up their education and transgender mess. Can they not do their jobs?
Voting for the SK Party means you are okay with:
-a family member with breast cancer not getting a mammogram in SK
-a child cannot read and has no support
-a family member's decline because they are not getting surgery
-a young person's suicide because they were not accepted
Do you think the Sk Party MLAs have the educational background, insight, and compassion to listen to the knowledge and expertise of the Sk and Canadian Psychiatrists Associations, the Sk Child Advocate, the STF, and the legal system?
@PremierScottMoe
@SaskParty
@Sask_NDP
This 35 year teacher saw first hand the damage of the SK Party funding cuts to school divisions and classrooms/children prior to my retirement. It has become much worse! We have a government that has not cared for over 10 yrs. I am 100% behind the STF and the teachers of Sk!
At emergency in Saskatoon. The couple next to me have been here since early morning. I wonder how long I will have to wait? I wonder how many people leave that need to see a Dr? Thanks Moe for the great healthcare. My heart goes out to these healthcare workers.❤️
Why will the SK Party not sit down with the teachers and discuss class size/complexity? Why did the SK Party make this a huge issue that is hurting our children by years of funding cutbacks? Why do they focus on culture or federal wars and not solutions to issues that hurt us?
When I see/hear how teachers and healthcare workers are being treated and the anti-union/private push in SK.... it is obvious we have a party in power in that does not represent the people, but wants to control the people.
Am I the only one feeling like the SK Party is bullying us and backing us into a corner we may never be able to get out of ... private MRI, Saskatchewan First Act, selling crown land without consulting First Nations, not listening to healthcare and education workers, etc...
Did you see the fundraising email from the SK Party that the NDP want to tear down what they built. So far all I have seen is tear downs: LBS stores, healthcare, education, Social Services, climate, etc. Am I missing something they actually built of value?
Parents, your children are not getting the education they deserve/need due to years of neglect and lack of funding by the SK Party. Instead of dealing with real issues, we have a Premier that is targeting vulnerable children and families.
@PremierScottMoe
@JustinTrudeau
100% of Sk people want you to work on healthcare workers, education, housing, poverty, drought, and fires, You know - the job you were elected to do.
Teachers are taking on the Moe government to bring back critical supports for our children and grandchildren lost by a decade or more of underfunding! Thank you teachers for caring about their and our futures!
I am wondering if Scott Moe and Jeremy Cockrill had very bad school experiences (Private?) or they did not have any contact with students with diverse/complex needs? Why do they not get it? Why do they not have respect for teachers or understand classroom complexity?
@SaskParty
If Sk teachers have to withdraw extra (curricular) they do for free or strike it is for the children of Sk. It is to light a fire under the Sk Party to make them own up to the years of damage and harm their educational cuts have done to our children and grandchildren!
@jeremycockrill
SK people deserve these answers:
1. Why are private schools being funded by public taxes?
2. Why are private schools receiving more funding than public schools?
3. Why have schools lost funding year after year despite enrolments going up?
4. Why are parents paying more fees?
Yes thx Moe for expanding the PST and having the majority of us lose the carbon rebate which was higher than what we paid for it on our SK Energy bills. Way to stick it to us in your battle with Trudeau!
I am kind of tiered of those who blame immigration on all our problems (health, housing, education). Do immigrants not pay taxes? Do they not contribute to our workforce? Were our past generations not immigrants? Did we not have grandparents etc that could not read/speak English?
@AndrewScheer
Yes because we will have climate deniers in power and lose universal healthcare and other great benefits if the Cons come in! They would sell off and privatize!
@PremierScottMoe
If this is true, put it in contract with teachers. Too many years of cutbacks and promises never kept have hurt our children's education and their futures. (Does it account for inflation and make up for years of underfunding?)
Saskatoon/SK people need to look into the backgrounds of who is running for elections. Way to many corrupt and/or uneducated and/or conspiracy theorists in elected positions and/or running for elections.
What an ignorant statement to make. This man is going to run to be Saskatoon Mayor? Oh Hell No. He can crawl back under that rock from which he came from.
Does anyone know what happened to the Federal money SK got to help with the back to school after covid? Did any schools in the province get HEPA filters? .
Everyone in SK needs to read this trustee's statement that reveals the SK Party has neglected our children and their right to an education.
#SKPartybrokenpromises
Does anyone else wince when they see the Sk Party/Scott Moe commercials on TV bragging about his initiatives in SK (many of which were federal or a bomb such as daycare, education, health spending, wait lists, etc.)?
@jeremycockrill
Sad, we have a new minster of education that does not have a clue how years of cutbacks have hurt schools, and therefore, he is not an advocate for children. Is there no one in the SK Party that has a background or working knowledge of public education?
It appears with or without their knowledge every rural person that supports the SK Party traded no school taxes for the downfall of public education. They appear to be pawns for the private school and the private healthcare agenda.
Can things get any crazier - handling teacher bargaining by offering to host graduation ceremonies. Has this ever happened in the history of collective bargaining in Canada? I wonder in whose motel he will host?
@CKOMNews
How many of us do not want to lose our carbon rebate and are okay with those who have the most emissions paying more for carbon tax? How many of us believe in climate change which they have been teaching about in SK public schools for years? I do, so Leave My Carbon Tax intact!
Once again Trudeau comes through for SK people (this time farmers), but SK Party will keep trashing him. What Fed help so far? daycare, covid relief and air lift when overcrowded after SK Party summer opening, others???
My guess people noticing Scott Moe took down the Canadian flags in the Legislature building will be another big day for NDP memberships, along with nursing and teacher protests. SK people are 🔥🔥🔥
@CKOMNews
I am sad for the children who missed Hoopla! I am more sad for the children who cannot read, have speech issues, cannot control their emotions and have no supports. I am even more sad the Sk Party lacks the empathy and the compassion and vilifies teachers who care.
Walking through the hospital today for a test, I saw/heard so many sick people. Glad we have masks! If masks are to go and that is a medical decision, I would like to hear from SHA medical experts and not a politician. Give me a ❤️ if you agree.
#donottrustpoliticians
Danielle Smith (and Scott More) are not my paster/priest. not my doctor, and not a member of my family. They need to butt out of our personal and our human rights. They were elected to govern and not to judge or push their personal beliefs!
So impressed with the STF, Samantha Becotte and the teachers of SK. Thank you for fighting for our kids. Definitely not impressed with the lack of care and respect shown to our children/grandchildren and their teachers by the Minster of Education, the Sk Party, and the GTBT.
So discouraging, once again. As a grandma I hope that teachers will vote against this unacceptable offer. The GTBT is still playing foolish games with teachers, students, and public education system. STF News Conference - April 18, 2024 via
@YouTube
Does anyone remember a time in Saskatchewan when you could shop around for a family doctor? Does anyone remember a time in Sk when if your child was struggling academically or emotionally help was a phone call away? Why did our leaders lose sight of what we value?
Growing up my parents taught me the value of a good public education, working hard, and taking care of the sick and those less fortunate than me. Is this no longer the SK we value and want for the future?
I hope for a future SK where healthcare workers, educators, and experts are treated with respect. A SK where their expertise is used to make decisions for the health and the welfare of the SK people and our children.
All of the SK Party, especially Mr. Duncan need to research what happens to society if education is underfunded and teachers are not listened to, nor paid a fair and competitive salary. We are beginning to see it dropouts, poverty, crime, drugs, homeless, poor health, abuse, etc.
@CKOMNews
Refusing to help our children in over crowed classes and not giving them supports is a big lose for the SK Party. They need to do their jobs and listen to parents and teachers.
CTV news tonight reported a huge increase in homeless numbers/crime and an out of control increase of violence in correctional facilities. Then I hear the SK Party has hired outside private lawyers to fight pronouns and cannot disclose the cost. The SK Party has to be voted out!
@PremierScottMoe
Did you join Trudeau when he visited a senior's home in Saskatoon and gave money for seniors? By the way where did you spend the money?
If Rachel Notley and the NDP win the election in Alberta tomorrow .... will SK healthcare and SK education workers jump ship to a province that will prioritize both and treat them with respect and dignity? Will SK residents follow them?
So glad to hear the money is not going to Premiers. Still waiting to see their accountability for Covid money, healthcare money, and all other Federal money.
From MacKenzie Gray:
The Liberals have made their largest investment yet from their signature housing fund but not all Premiers are happy about how the cash has been dolled out.
Here's my story on the $1.8 B in new money for Quebec housing
@mearaconwayMLA
How much was spent fighting carbon tax? How much was spent on salaries etc, fighting pronouns? How much was spent on billboards to vilify teachers? How much was spent for out of province testing, surgeries, and travel nurses?
@PremierScottMoe
Schools/education is not a company, nor corporation. This is education which should be across the province fairly and equally funded. What a bizarre idea to have teachers applying for funding,
All I have to do is compare the education/backgrounds of the NDP MLAs to the SK Party MLAs next election. If I want honesty, fairness, working for the everyday people, good healthcare and education, affordable lifestyle and housing, proactive crime prevention.... I'll vote NDP!
How many think the camel that breaks the SK Party's back is the focus on 1 or 2 (if any) parents that have no clue about their child's gender/pronoun preference? How many voters are disgusted with they/them not addressing critical issues like healthcare, education, housing?
Just watched Global news about how the SK Party botched covid and brought down healthcare in SK!
Everyone in the province needs to watch Focus Saskatchewan this weekend for the full story.
Does SK have too many wealthy conservative politicians that are pushing for privatization and working to destroy public institutions that work for the common good of all people and the province?
Screw ups by the SK Party are due to:
-not consulting with experts/using their expertise,
-listening to their uninformed base vs the majority,
-using Trudeau as a scape goat,
-top down decision-making,
-rash decisions,
-no research,
-no idea what the SK people value,
-and??
I remember the days when we had politicians that were honest and placed a high value on education and experts who studied and worked in an area for years! People like Lougheed and Romanow. Now sadly, some scorn experts and believe lying politicians and social media trolls.
Basically what the SK Party has done to teachers with all their cutbacks ... would be like expecting a family doctor to do testing, reporting, surgery, etc. with no/limited personnel and no/limited supplies. Oh, but they are kinda doing that to healthcare workers too.
I found
@JustinTrudeau
to be a genuinely nice man who made time for me and my family on a very busy day. A great
#PMAward
experience and a chance to showcase the amazing work being done by
@MontgomeryElem1
and
@StoonPubSchools
on the National Stage.
Jeremy has no clue what he is doing! He calls a "take it or leave it offer," a fair agreement. Moe needs to replace him asap. However, each day Moe keeps him will be more chance of an NDP sweep in the fall. Unfortunately, kids may lose out on teacher voluntary activities.
If the out of touch SK Party stays in power.... As the rest of the world drives around in electric vehicles and breathes fresh air, we will be driving gas vehicles and not be able to leave the province.
Teachers fighting for supports for all of our children and grandchildren. (class size, classroom complexity, and violence). No more should children hurt from cutbacks due to years of underfunding.
Tommy Douglas became Premier of Saskatchewan, 79 years ago today.
As Premier, he created the continent's first publicly-funded, publicly-delivered health care system.
We need to ensure we honour Tommy's legacy & protect our public health care from the threat of privatization.
This warms my heart! Our youth have no tolerance for politicians that cause divisiveness between home and school at the expense of vulnerable children. (Look what stoking divisiveness has done around the world.)
@PremierScottMoe
Why do you continue to work on things that are not a priority or a crisis? (healthcare, education, provincial inflation) Why do you not hear the SK people?
@gilmcgowan
Privatization here we come. Sk is sending women for mammograms to a private clinic in Alberta at the bargain price of 10 times more than in our public health system.
Teachers are begging for supports, funding, and staff for our children. Meanwhile the Minister of education is constantly looking for ways to make teaching even more challenging and learning more difficult for our kids. Only in SK with Jeremy, Moe, and the SK Party.
STF president disappointed in premier's attempts to 'influence teachers': "We want (the teachers) to take an objective look and provide us with direction of how to proceed," said STF president Samantha Becotte.

We live in a province where experts are not listened to or paid respect by the Sk Party? Good luck when we are in a personal crisis and the experts no longer live here or want to come here!
@PremierScottMoe
So sick of hearing about a growing economy when we are 33 billion in the red. Sk is no longer the future many of us want. One where we care about public education, and take care of the sick and those in need. Under the SK Party that SK has been lost.
