welcome to daily cloud family! we will be posting daily content of avatar aang and master katara’s family (known as the cloud family). this account will feature content of aang, katara, sokka, kya ii, bumi, tenzin, kya i, hakoda, kanna, jinora, ikki, & meelo.
avatar legends has confirmed that aang taught both kya and bumi air nomad culture and history! kya in particular has internalized his lessons on air nomad philosophy, meditation, and balance throughout her whole life. she now teaches those lessons to the new air nation.
@NatatapadronT
actually tenzin was quite the troublemaker in his teens. he ended up getting arrested (just like his parents) while trying to fight some kids who graffitied air temple island
it actually pisses me off how 2 of the 3 kataang kids have horrendous face cards… im not surprised it’s the men but you were born out of KATARA!!!! how dare you be ugly
avatar legends has confirmed that kya was taught both waterbending combat & waterbending medicine! she belonged to the first generation of young waterbenders to be taught both side by side, implying that there were many others that katara had taught.
I love how avatar the last airbender never took this approach. instead, both hakoda and sokka adore aang and consider him an honourary water tribe member.
avatar legends refers to kya as a waterbending master! that means that in katara and aang’s family, there’s five canonical master benders: aang, katara, tenzin, kya, and jinora.
according to avatar legends, aang helped bring scholars from all over the four nations to create republic city’s first ever university. he even got the former dean of ba sing se to become the new dean of republic city university.
the fact that bumi is a former world class commander for the united forces who has travelled all over the world, yet the first thing that he does upon retirement is return to his family home to spend the remainder of his life with his baby brother and his family.
Since Eric Nam (
@ericnamofficial
), a zionist, will be playing Aang in the ATLA movie, we have decided to refrain from sharing any posts on the movie mentioning the actor until
@ParamountPics
recasts the character. We hope you will join us in demanding a recast.

“omg the only reason your ship is canon is because the creators of the avatarverse and the showrunners of atla wanted it to be canon.” you sound like a complete idiot. put the ao3 DOWN.
katara helped establish republic city, banned bloodbending, was politically involved, taught a whole new generation of waterbenders combat and healing, trained the next avatar, was a member of the white lotus, AND spent her days in retirement as a healer.
“Of Aang’s three children, Bumi was the one who most encapsulated his father’s penguin-sledding spirit.” - Bumi’s bio on the official Nickelodeon website.
If it’s been almost 40 years since Katara and Aang’s children last saw Iroh, that means Iroh died when Tenzin was in his early teens, Kya in her mid to late teens, and Bumi in his early 20s. Which is why Bumi is the first to recognize Iroh - he spent the most time with him.
not only did they diminish the genocide of native americans AND actively attempt to silence indigenous people from speaking on colonization, but they even had the audacity to do so with pfps of a mohawk actress who has always been vocal and proud of her indigeneity.
yea ok stop taking them seriously it’s just maddening to diminish the native american genocide over what was originally an atla convo and telling indigenous people it isn’t their place to speak on colonization, and to agree with this tweet too? (top tweet from sam is for context)
“Suki is the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors. She had skills that your Uncle Sokka could only have dreamed of, and they were an amazing team together.” - Aang to Tenzin in Airbender Legacy.
román zaragoza - the voice actor for animated adult sokka in the upcoming film - speaking about the importance of his identity and native american heritage month!!

would never say anything like this.
people fail to realize that tenzin’s arc is learning to step away from aang’s legacy to find his own agency and sense of purpose (something aang encourages in book 2) while bumi and kya’s arcs are about EMBRACING aang’s legacy, especially with the return of the air nation.
“Tenzin was the third child of the waterbending master Katara and her husband, Avatar Aang.” - Tenzin’s description in the official Avatar Legends RPG guidebook.
malewife aang indisputable in avatar legends lore
I seem to recall tons of zionists in the cast on that live action you all adore so much, not to mention the fact that a whole pretendian was casted as sokka. where’s YOUR boycott for that?
how can your sympathy for genocide survivors only extend to ones that are fictional? how can people recognize “a group of people with no ability to defend itself are brutally murdered by another nation” as genocide in fiction but not when it happens in real life?
“we’ll *of course* pay for any public property that may have been damaged.”
katara and aang are RICH and they know it. which makes sense, considering the fact that they own a whole island.
for the upcoming avatar series, the next avatar’s airbending master should be a descendent of aang and katara — “katara ii (of the air nation).” she should play a prominent role in helping the new avatar connect with his past lives.
headcanon (which definitely happened in canon) that aang, who knows how to make jewelry, designed kya’s airbending clips. he also did her hair (for a bald guy, he’s quite good at doing hair).
aang and katara genuinely can’t win. if they had tenzin first, they’d say the other two were to have more airbenders. if they had no airbenders, they’d say that aang let his culture die out. if they had all airbenders, they’d call katara an “incubator” 10x more than they do now.
“In the old days [of the Northern Water Tribe], only boys could train to become Waterbenders - the girls had to become healers.
But your mother changed all of that. She wasn’t going to let anyone tell her what she could or could not do!” - Aang to Tenzin in Airbender Legacy.
thinking about how the southern water tribe became aang’s family and was critical to his journey as the avatar. and how in lok the air nation became korra’s family and was so important to her journey as the avatar. these two nations, affected the most by the war, grew together.
