My contract at work wasn't renewed (not a big deal). Consistently, I put myself, my studies, my health, my girlfriend and family above work. This led to an implied unprofessional behaviour. And I wouldn't change anything. Because low paid labour is not my priority - my life is.

At our age, my parents already had me and Laura's parents had 2 kids, with Laura on the way. They had a house, paid for with a single job, on a half acre of land. Compared to us who have no house, can't get a mortgage, have no space - how could we even think of having kids?

I just can't get behind the 6am closing time for nightclubs when staff are paid terribly, they struggle to get their breaks, and younger workers are paid less for the same work. Night-workers rights need a serious improvement. I've done nights and it's dreadful for you.

I don't know why people have such a hard time believing our health service would discharge someone in a mental health crisis. Just this summer, A man was discharged from hospital. He jumped in the Corrib River minutes later. I rescued him. This is not a once off situation.

NUI Galway are either going to recklessly allow hundreds of students to travel and congregate together for exams, or, cancel them at the very last minute leaving people in a rush to find quiet, safe spaces to sit exams with suitable wifi and device access.

Solidarity with @tcdsu who are protesting consistent unaffordable rent increases during a cost of living crisis. The book of Kell's brings in around €20,000 a day on average - I look forward to Trinity getting none of that today

We've blockaded the Book of Kells @tcddublin and will be here until 5pm in response to Trinity's unaffordable rents and constant rent increases. Come out to support!

Remember we were told young people had "vaccine hesitancy"? I think we can quash that stupid hypothesis now.

Fix the leaks that account for the loss of 43% of drinking across Ireland Appropriately charge/tax data centers that use as much water as small towns. Your lack of investment and infrastructure wastes more water than any family in Ireland possibly could.

I'm thinking of putting together a report on NUI Galway exams safety, or lack thereof. Would appreciate any and all testimonials/opinions via DMs. Everything will be kept anonymous obviously. RTs appreciated

When I started working at 16, I was paid €6.06 an hour whilst my colleagues were paid €8.65 for the exact same work Young people should be paid the same for doing the same work. Everyone working deserves a living wage.

Tomorrow, People Before Profit launches a bill to end wage discrimination against young workers under 20. 🚫 The Minimum Wage (Equal Pay for Young Workers) Bill 2022 would end minimum wage pay discrimination for workers under the age of 20. #FairWagesForAllAges

Anyone within close proximity of each other, with no solutions, should be vaccinated ahead of people who are able to work at home People in prisons, people accessing homeless shelters, teachers, SNAs, carers, Gardaí, etc This isn't radical or ridiculous - it's basic public health

Looks to be around 40+ Gardaí evicting people from James Connolly House around Marlborough St,(?) Dublin. What an incredible waste of resources and another example of Gardaí protecting property over people. Video from Reddit
