It’s been 1 year since Jan. 6, 2021. All downhill from there. Election lies, vaccine misinformation, making it harder to vote, excusing Jan. 6 thuggery, conspiracy theories galore.
I tried. I encouraged reason. I urged a pivot from Trump. I failed.
I’m out.

On Jan. 20, our country will inaugurate its second Catholic president. While I do not share all of Joe Biden’s policy views, I do share his faith. I believe he is a man of character and integrity, and I pray he will reach out across the political spectrum to unite our nation.

must be denounced by the international community, and those who committed these shocking acts must be prosecuted and punished.
Armenian Lives Matter.
Colorado is a model for the rest of the country on

. High participation, secure and safe, and voters love it. Disregard the hysteria and follow our lead.
If
@EvanMcMullin
wins, the floodgates open to Independent candidates who are seeking to move past partisan division and form governing coalitions. A good thing for America.
Go Evan!
Received my ballot in the mail.
Voted at my kitchen table.
Returned my completed, signature-verified ballot to a drive through drop box, less than two miles from my house.
Confirmed on line that my ballot was received.
I love voting in Colorado.
I continue to be amazed and disturbed by the unreasonable fear and hysteria being stoked regarding voting by mail. We love it in Colorado. And thanks in large part to the leadership of former Secretary of State Wayne Williams (yes, a Republican), our system is safe and secure.
I was in denial. Until yesterday. Last year, state GOP leadership failed to speak up to defend me when RMGO carpet bombed my house district with negative flyers. Now, these same leaders pledge to work with RMGO to take out my successor in a recall. I do not support this effort.
Worried about passing out water to voters standing in line? Get rid of the lines.
Not an issue in CO. Most Coloradans vote conveniently from home and drop off their signature verified ballot safely and securely at convenient drop boxes.
Easy.
And, sorry to break it to you, Dudley. You didn’t “ruin my life.” I lost an election. Get some perspective. Compared to what folks go through every day, my bad election day is just so insignificant. I am blessed with an amazing family and great friends. I will be just fine.
The “war on rural Colorado” is a divisive myth. We need leaders who will work to bring us together, not attempt to divide us into camps with cheap, meaningless political slogans.
I grew up on the Western Slope. My parents and most of my family live there. It will always be home.
The people of Western Colorado are decent, kind, compassionate and fair. Their communities are open and welcoming. My heart breaks for the way they are represented in Congress.

We are just a few days past the 7th anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. 26 people, including 20 children between six and seven years old, and six adult staff members lost their lives. This attempt at a joke is depraved and despicable.
Hey Ken. Just curious. Do you have family members working on the front line of this pandemic in hospitals and in ambulances? Well, I do. Your reckless comments place healthcare professionals (and all of us) at further risk.
Take a seat.

Raise your hand if you want this plane landing in your town?
America paid unimaginable costs in Afghanistan because of uniparty globalists who dominated the Bush & Obama administrations.
No more…
It’s pretty easy for folks to criticize and armchair quarterback this, but props to

for trying to make high school sports work in a truly unique time. While not perfect, our kids will learn an important life lesson. Adversity and unexpected challenges make us better.
In the midst of the pain inflicted on Denver and Lakewood on Monday evening, and with deep respect to the victims and their families, we need to acknowledge the heroism of the Lakewood police officer who saved the lives of others. May she make a full and speedy recovery.
Colorado’s ERPO law was available to the El Paso County Sheriff’s office after this 2021 incident. Did they use it? Did they try? Did they even consider?
My daughter is my hero. She is on the front line in this fight. I am so thankful vaccines are arriving to help keep these brave warriors safe. But, we have a long way to go. Do your part. We are in this together.
I am proud to stand with Colorado’s Armenian community and am grateful to my friend

Powerful remarks by California Assemblymember
@LauraFriedmanCA
supporting AJR 1, the ANCA-backed resolution condemning Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh.
"We in California need to send a strong message to Azerbaijan that this type of terror against civilians won’t be tolerated.”
I had the privilege of hearing Mr. Bennett sing in an intimate setting at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Several years later, I got to meet him and shake his hand on a flight to Las Vegas. I’ll never forget it. What a kind man and a legendary voice. One of the all time greats.
Waiting for all of the stories about fraud arising from yesterday’s very successful primary election in Colorado, where every registered voter received a ballot - in the mail.
Let’s keep the conversation going, truly listen to each other, and work together for meaningful change to make our communities safe. My heart goes out to everyone in Uvalde.
New: After a sheriff’s deputy was murdered in a Denver suburb, Colorado state Rep. Cole Wist took action by sponsoring a red flag bill. It likely cost him his seat. ProPublica spoke to Wist about the harsh realities of gun reform.
Since Trump is so bad in so many ways, one challenge for principled conservatives is to retain our self-definition by clearly articulating the reasons we reject him. Most are basic & bipartisan (e.g., rule of law, decency, competence, & truth)—others are unique to conservatives.
To all of my conservative friends who are still in the Trump camp:
Why does Donald Trump defend the confederate flag?
Not rhetorical. This is what you are supporting.
I’m not “getting over” or “moving past” what happened on January 6. And, if you love and want to protect democracy, you shouldn’t either.
Investigate. Prosecute. Shine the light.
A lot of predictions about how 2022 elections may go. But, our nation’s young people are underrepresented in these discussions. And they have something to say.
Millennials and Gen Z, it’s your time to step up and be heard. Get registered. Get engaged. Your country needs you.
I see a lot of folks ridiculing Denver. Like many cities, Denver has issues to work on. And solving these challenges will not be easy. But, I love this city. And failing is not an option.
It’s easy to be a critic. Don’t be one. Engage and work for change.
Young conservatives ask me all the time about the future of the Republican Party. I tell them to forget about the GOP. The party ain’t changing from what it is right now. And besides, I tell em, we live in revolutionary times: this 2 party duopoly is ending. Sooner than u think.
@laurenboebert
Maybe sit this one out. You’ve had quite a week, even for you.
Maybe some self reflection and prayer?
Not sure how much lower you can go, and I fear you will show us.
Serious times call for serious leaders. If your playbook consists only of scare tactics, name calling, inflammatory rhetoric and political games, you are not serious - and you are not a leader.
White supremacy and white nationalism must be condemned with the strongest and clearest words and actions. These movements are without question counter to what our country stands for. As he has done so many times before, President Trump has failed miserably to lead on this issue.
If you vote for the losing candidate, you have not been disenfranchised. Your candidate simply lost.
If you truly want to know what disenfranchisement is, start by reviewing our ugly history of suppressing voters’ rights.
My 1st stop after landing in Yerevan was to the Armenian Genocide Memorial. A beautiful and poignant tribute to all those who were killed, and to the survivors and families & friends who have so inspired me in their relentless pursuit of truth & justice for their loved ones.
An open letter to
@POTUS
:
This week, the world will mark the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
This is the first April 24 of your presidency, your first chance to keep your promise to hundreds of thousands of Armenian Americans:
Recognize the Armenian Genocide.
