Going to the
#PercyJackson
premiere last night with my old school friend was the best time of our lives!
Thank you so much to
@PercySeries
and
@DisneyPlus
for everything! 🔱⚡
So, there are actually a lot of differences in the
#SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse
cuts
Here's a cut comparison 🧵 theatrical vs digital of Across The Spider-Verse
(*will update as more are found)
Andy Muschietti says 3 of the cameos that were cut from ‘THE FLASH’ included Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman, Marlon Brando’s Jor-El and Cesar Romero’s Joker.
(Source: )
1. Prowler Miles has extended braids and more facial outlines in the digital cut
This sequence also plays the final song earlier than expected in the same cut
7. During Spider-Man 2099's intro during the Vulture fight, the camera zooms out from Miguel's head in the theatrical cut.
In the digital cut, the camera does a slow dolly zoom on Miguel instead
12. When Ben Reilly attacks Miles, he says "This is called the sleeper hold, I'm using my bicep to constrict you!" in the theatrical cut.
In the digital cut, he says "I've got you trapped in my well-defined musculature" (2nd Video)
9. When Spot uses the mini-collider, he says "Oh, what the heck?" and has a bit more added dialogue in one of the theatrical cuts.
He says "which would not be good" in the digital cut, which has also removed some of the dialogue.
hi
@AlliterAndy
@philiplord
@chrizmillr
was this Intentional or was this a theatre mixing issue? All 4 times I saw Across the Spiderverse in theatres there was no lyrics at hobies introduction but now that it’s on digital there is lyrics??
10. When Gwen says she won't see Miles again to Jess, a text box with "What?!" is present in one of the theatrical cuts.
This box is removed in the digital cut.
13. When Gwen looks for Miles under the rubble after the Mumbattan Spot fight, she has some dialogue in the theatrical cut.
The digital cut removes this dialogue
14. One of the theatrical cuts utilizes a different take from Oscar Isaac when Miguel talks about what he did to Miles.
The digital cut uses a different take instead.

Now THAT is how you do a first episode!
#Loki
Season 2's starting episode just reels you back in: loved Ke Huy Quan as OB, Owen Wilson's still got that charisma, and Tom Hiddleston just brings that intensity with the higher stakes.
Solid 9.5/10 for me. I WANT MORE!
Depending on which cut you've seen in theaters, some of these differences *may* or *may not* line up with the digital cut.
Hopefully I can catch them all for you!
15. In one of the theatrical cuts during Miles' intro, there's a comment saying "I heard it was made from actual babies fr" during the baby powder apology.
In the digital cut, it says "old spider-man didn't need baby powder". Also, different usernames!
With the replies I've seen, it looks like there are only 2 known cuts:
1. The first theatrical cut
2. The theatrical cut that became the digital cut (the audio fix cut)
With that in mind, the ripped videos are most likely from that first point
#BlueBeetle
definitely lives up to the hype of the
#BlueBeetleBattalion
. A nice, self-focused solo story, great action, and some funny jokes in between!
Definitely what DC needs right now!
Last night, I watched
#DunePart2
and it's one of the most terrifying, yet beautiful transformations of a leader with deep thematic layers of sacrifice, love, and war.
The performances are top notch, the action's pretty good, and Denis Villeneuve's direction is simply 👏👏
19. In some of the shots during Miguel's explanation of canon events, Hobie's shading has been altered in the digital cut.
*A little bit unsure if this only applies to *this* scene in particular (possibly could be more)
(Thanks to
@lou_pancake
)
16. When Captain Stacy arrests Gwen after the Vulture fight, she says "No, stop!" in one theatrical cut.
In the digital cut, she says "Dad, stop!" instead
18. When Miles saves civilians during the Mumbattan Alchemax collapse, the digital cut adds the iconic Spidey-Sense indicators before Miles punches the incoming debris.
(Thanks to
@Da_Meir_Yt
)
20. When Gwen gets kicked by Spot after Miles finds her during the Mumbattan fight, Spot says "Foot in your face!" in one theatrical cut.
In the digital cut, he says "Whoopsie!" instead
I can confirm
#PercyJackson
is an AMAZING adaptation for every single fan of Rick Riordan's books to enjoy. It's funny, intense, and heartfelt all throughout with great performances and a natural narrative flow that holds true to Rick and Becky's original vision.
21. During the Gayatri sequence in Pavitr's intro, one of the theatrical cuts has no audio cue when Inspector Singh interrupts.
In the digital cut, there's this little audio cue on Singh's arrival (clip visual timings may be a bit off)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
#MutantMayhem
is TOTALLY RADICAL.
Organically dynamic action, charming teenage rambles from the cast, a nicely-knit story, and one bop of a soundtrack. This film totally rocks, see it for yourself!
22. Before Gwen leaves her apartment right before the Vulture fight, she hears a warning about her and says "Oh great" before turning the police radio off in one theatrical cut.
The digital cut removes this line as Gwen only turns it off.
23. During Miles' final swing, it pulls some dialogue of Miguel saying "Peter Parker would have lived" in one theatrical cut.
In the digital cut, he adds more and says "YOUR Peter Parker would have lived."
I absolutely LOVED
#FalloutonPrime
and Jonathan Nolan's interwoven story. As someone who's played the games, it perfectly fits into the lore of Fallout. Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten give fun performances, but Walton Goggins KNOCKS IT OUT. Plus, action's awesome too!
#WishMovie
is a heartfelt and fun movie that happily goes back to the old Disney days! Ariana DeBose shines brightly as Asha, Chris Pine is classically EVIL evil, and the songs are great.
All in all, ‘WISH’ is a great watch that everyone can enjoy!
#MyAdventuresWithSuperman
is a fun, refreshing Superman-centric story!
It nicely balances emotion, comedy, and action while experimenting with the Man of Steel's history. Plus, the anime-inspired visual style lends its own expressive specialty to the show.
I just watched
#XMen97
and it's truly amazing, from its nostalgic animation to its touching emotional story.
I LOVE what Marvel's done with rebuilding the X-Men and their world, which is perfectly done through its introspective writing.
Can't wait for everyone to see this!
25. Also when Miles discovers Earth-42, there's another audio cue when the Prowler symbol blinks on Aaron's chest in one theatrical cut.
The digital cut doesn't have this audio cue.
(Thanks to
@MaxRebel3
)
27. During the Spider-Society intro sequence, one theatrical cut uses yellow textboxes when everyone starts making jokes.
The digital cut uses blue chat bubbles instead
Marvel's
#Echo
has strong potential as a character-driven story, inspired by the suspense of Daredevil and the humor of Hawkeye. Alaqua Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio rock as Maya Lopez and Kingpin respectively and the action *is* brutal, though the pacing could need to be determined.
Holy hell,
#MissionImpossible7
is ONE HELL OF A RIDE. So many great action-packed sequences, big and small. The story is straightforward, but it's got heartbreaking turns in between. Fun performances from the main cast, overall a great time I'd like to see again!
Netflix's
#Nimona
is a great adaptation of the original novel that just elevates everything amazing from the story. Chloë Grace Moretz kills it as Nimona, the characters are great, and the story just hits home.
My review is up now!
“
#Nimona
is a wild adventure that excellently adapts the novel in a way that improves this classic story. It’s got complex and layered characters, some fun comedic moments, and a wonderful undertaking of its themes.”
Read our review:
@eric_ital
There is just something so terrifying about the philosophical aspect of it all that no other Marvel show or movie has really dug into.
I'm digging what this season has to say on that
Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken has its heart in the right place, but it lacks strong character building.
It mostly sacrifices characterization to propel its plot forward while trying to push its trendy humor. In a way, this film is a bit of a weaker Turning Red.
This is a very random observation but gwen’s theme in the old version of the movie starts in 3/4 time signature and skips the last beat while the new one starts normally cause of the added line
James Bobin (director of 101 & 102) on his favorite moment/scene from the show:
“There's a great scene episode one where his mom tells him who he is, who his dad is. And that's a really hard scene to pull off because it basically involves telling Percy, "Your dad is a god." So
30. When Gwen webs Captain Stacy to the police car before the Vulture fight, the assisting cop says "Yep, we've got our sign" in the digital cut.
She says "We found her" instead in one theatrical cut.
Hearing
#Ahsoka
may be Star Wars: Rebels Part 2 and seeing all these early positive reactions makes me just a bit giddy all inside.
Just hoping THIS is the one Star Wars show that lands
If y'all haven't already, I IMPLORE you to watch Nimona this week.
Chloe Grace Moretz's Kick-Ass-inspired performance as Nimona is just awesome, the stylistic animation is good and it's definitely a great adaptation of the novel's story.
GO SEE IT ASAP!
No doubt about the fact that
#SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse
will sling its way straight into your heart. It's emotionally sincere, visually excellent and overall DIMENSION-SHATTERING. An AMAZINGLY SPECTACULAR experience that NEEDS to be seen on the big screen 100%.
@Browntable_Ent
I noticed there are a LOT more differences between the theatrical and digital versions.
Like 42 Miles looked WAY different in the theater since he's got more outlines
#GodzillaMinusOne
is a beautiful tale of courage, family, and struggle that terrifyingly uses the Kaiju world to be incredibly intensifying. Great acting, a good blend of comedy and seriousness, and amazing action with the Godzilla CGI.
Solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5!
So far
#Ahsoka
is about a 7.5-8/10 for me. Definitely enjoying the bond between Natasha's
#Sabine
and Mary's
#HeraSyndulla
in the early game and it looks like there may be some intriguing complexity with its villains.
Also love these references at the end of Ep 2.
