We've seen an increase in crews responding to out of control bonfires following the hot weather we had at the weekend. Please don’t start bonfires during hot spells. The ground is incredibly dry and fire will spread fast. More advice here:

The warm weather usually brings an increase in the amount of grass and woodland fires we are called to. White watch Dogsthorpe spent some time on Friday practicing pumping water from a lake to make sure they're prepared should they need to pump when responding to an incident.
