More hares killed on the road than by coursing should we stop driving. Although they probably aren’t terrified by being hit by car.

@rteliveline @joeliveline Joe. The coursing club in millstreet actually partially own the town park. And have generously put up the majority of the money to purchase the land initially. They allow the park to be open 11 months rather than be shut for one month. But let’s not get caught up with the truth.

Pat Corridan 42 from Ballyheigue passed away tonight. A fine hurler in his day and a great goalkeeper. He played for ballyheigue, kerry and for Tralee IT. He refereed as best one can. Was often seen at ballyheigue coursing field on coursing day. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

It seems once again our great sport is being singled out and attempts are being made to shut us down for the next 6 weeks. Horse racing and track racing can continue so I see no reason why coursing cannot. Attempts to weaken our sport will not prevail.
