@segfaultdoctor While I agree with you, there are some things you can’t just build as a smart contract. The level of control you get of how things are processed, when, etc. becomes valuable for some. And that’s a selling point for app chains and rollups still.

@0xkaiserkarel @DonCryptonium NEAR has a sharded architecture where they operate in a independent manner. We need to be able to access the global state root on each shard - actually a list of the latest ones. Work in progress, and almost last piece in the puzzle for that bridge.
