Kallik weighs 350 lbs, is a thrill-seeker and loves scrambled eggs. Kallu is a gentle giant at 422 lbs who enjoys honey.
They have learned several basic medical behaviors, from paw presentations to standing tall - over 6 ft!

They were recently introduced to the behind-the-scenes dig yard & we're one step closer to their exhibit debut, so stay tuned for updates!

Kirk & Renee's outdoor adventures are subject to the weather conditions, indoor viewing remains an option whenever they're not basking outside.
Kirk is making his grand debut on exhibit today, March 16!ππ
Zoo staff is asking the public to please be patient as they manage exhibit visitation. 20 guests at a time will be guided by staff to enter the indoor exhibit. Visitors must keep noise low and no flash photography.

Our vet staff performed an ultrasound on African elephant Renee & captured a photo of her calf.
It shows the head, an eye, an ear and the trunk with a front foot beneath it.
Renee is due in spring 2024.
