In <18 hours after the CDC issued a warning that resulted in our wedding being postponed, almost all our vendors banded together to agree on a new date several months later so we could try to have the wedding I've always dreamed of. I'm cautious, but it's a needed bright spot.

Recently, I was sent to a surgeon to consult about a spot on my face my derm recommended I have removed. The surgeon suggested pointed out the number of scars I have from biopsies, rudely quipping “How many of these is it going to take before you realize you’re fine?” I left. 😞

Since we’re getting into the summer - remember to use good sunscreen, stay in the shade when possible, and go to the dermatologist if you see anything abnormal. My close call with melanoma was caught early enough that I only ended up with this beauty, but it could’ve been worse.

I had a routine outpatient surgery today to address some issues I’ve been having and, while in surgery, they discovered spots of endometriosis and a tumor, which they removed. Neither was ever detected/suspected in almost a years’ worth of tests. I’m feeling very, very lucky.
