Anyone looking for some Inspiration to get a fitness routine in place for 2023,look no further
The first pic my dad could barely squat, couldn't sit cross legged and had never worked out in the gym in his 63 years on Earth
Things change sooner than you expect when you begin..
@Blue_Footy
He is not a 'yes man', at Chelsea he would have to be a yes man to Boehly hence Tuchel left.
At Spurs and PSG same case.
Look at Klopp and Guardiola, they have autonomy. Now even Tuchel.
He's looking for autonomy, which is not easy to get.

He will complete one year at the gym in this week!
One year can bring a lot of positive changes with consistency!
Most of the work is done in just showing up, everything else will follow :)
He's now set a target of being able to do a pistol squat by the end of 2023 and deadlift 1.5x bodyweight.
Infact being a newbie, allows you to drop your ego and focus on your form.
Here is a 1x bodyweight deadlift by the man himself. He started with zero weight 1 year back.
Here's my dad doing easy barbell squats and is now able to easily sit cross legged.
Him falling in love with the gym contributed to an improvement in his energy, his bloodwork and mood.
Imagine what you can do in a year if you just begin and remain consistent.

He identified this by observing the tightness in the back of my neck which is the tightening of the cervical muscle!
This is due to the relationship between sleep and stress!

Happy Birthday Baba ❤️💃
Easy 100kg deadlift to celebrate as he turns 65 years old today.
On his birthday, he gave us all the gift of hope and belief.
We all celebrated with him, the smile on his face and good vibes all around :)
Clean 95kgs for 5 reps and 3 sets.
He's turning 65 in 20 days and has set a 3 rep 100kg single set target, tough to add 5 kgs in 20 days but ruthlessly focused on the possibility of doing so.

My dad had two milestones with lifting which he hit:

You workout in the morning, your body releases endorphins, the happy hormones that make you a pleasant person once you enter office.
You workout in the evening, you release all the pent up stress of the day from work.
Either way you win. You never lose.
No brainer investment.
Reading gives you a sense of 'imposter syndrome' by making you feel you don't know much.
The more you read the more you realise how less you actually know and that there's so much more you could learn.
The less you read the more self confident you become and suffer less of this…
Here's goes the first manuscript of the book.
It's been a rollercoaster of emotions from imposter syndrome, anxiety, self doubt, fear, arrogance to every other possible human emotion.

Sharing some amazing news
My father just enrolled in a powerlifting competition for men aged 60+ today, it's going to be in January 2024.
Just keep believing.
Years of sitting and lack of movement has caused our hamstrings to shrink, our calves to get tight and our backs to get as stiff as a rock. We use aging as an excuse when the real culprit is a lack of movement.
A classic example of losing mobility as we age would be

I've always loved this man and his book was incredible.
Never has a book brought out so many different emotions in me.
This man's life itself is a movie, he has documented the last 35 years of his life.
And you can't help but read the entire book in the McConaughey accent.

Water as an investment?
More than 2/3rd of the earth's surface is covered by water, but 97.5% of that water is undrinkable!
Leaving 2.5% of water for human consumption
Of that 2.5%,70% is beyond easy reach in sources such as frozen ice sheets, glaciers, permafrost, snow cover!

What do you define as healthier?
If it's natural ingredients then

and few others are doing that already.
Supply chain is skewed towards unhealtheir foods hence more difficult to scale these healthy foods, correct me if wrong.
Hence more time to build.
Process > Outcome
Where have you heard this before?
The principles of long term investing and fitness are very similar.
- Focus on the process, the goal will be achieved and the power of compounding will play out over the longer term.
My father has adopted these principles…
My weight has hovered around 3-4 kgs of my current weight for the last 10 years because I've set up automated processes:
-Strength training mostly
-Eating protein with 90% meals
-Being aware of the calorie count of foods
Find a process you love & be consistent for decades.
The original story of this movie, Kaksparsh, was written by my late grandmother Usha Datar who was an author of multiple novels.

If your sleep has been shitty for the night you could see a higher than normal spike in your blood glucose with carbs causing you to feel even more tired.
Best to keep it low carb on such days and eat carbs on need basis only on such a day.
This works for me.
This is a brilliant hack which I will definitely be trying! Adding wheat germ to white rice since white rice looses it's outer coating in the manufacturing process, thereby
making it lose it's nutritional value.
Books and long form articles are like protein and fats, both are essential for maintaining our body’s muscle mass and regular hormonal functions.

Very well written. The treadmill of comparison is just nonstop for everyone but the process to stop the treadmill is the same for everyone :)

Dad just hit a milestone- 6 push-ups, I asked him what his game plan is to hit 20 push-ups
