Selalunya pesakit yg tepuk2 dada di ICU biasanya dia nk cakap dia susah nafas/sakit dada tp td patient yg dh extubated tu tepuk tepuk dada dia byk kali then dia panggil i dia cakap “Tanya la selera saya apa?” Omg sabo je la sempat buat lawak,ok transfer to normal ward stat!🤣🤣

My approach for DKA is simple, i’ve taught my MOs these concepts: 1) the most crucial treatment is insulin & sugar (either feeding / dextrose) Insulin will enable cells to use up the high amount of sugars in the blood. Thus when it depleted u need to continue to supply sugar

Many times i brought patients to the ICU, just to prevent patients being given Mega Mega Amounts of fluids by other clinicians, typically dengue and DKA. I’ve witnessed many horror outcome of massive fluids administration @avkwong

As soon as i have the power to change, i add another MO oncall in ICU, and ban post call MO need to follow icu morning round. Postcall MO who didnt go back after 9am or sleep after 9am in the hospital akan kena denda. i feel glad it still continue years after i left
