Suggested to a med student to access their free counselling from uni and they said they don’t get any 😔 @UniofNewcastle allowed each student 6 sessions a year if requested after an assessment and it was extremely helpful. Should be implemented through more universities I think?

I did a good thing the other day, and managed to get a patient’s hearing aid batteries replaced. I know it’s only a small thing but I'm pleased I noticed and suggested it as a course of action when no one else had and now he can hear on the ward 😭

I start on O&G this week and my prevailing memory of obstetrics is as a 3rd year med student a mum-to-be in labour grasped my hand and asked if I would do her the honour of delivering her 30 week old very premature baby needless to say it was a no from me and all the staff

My grandad was a lad at uni. he took ill for a few weeks and a girl in his class fancied him so she took notes with both hands simultaneously every day and gave him the set she wrote with her right (dominant hand) and he didn’t even wife her 😭

Had my first "Where did you come from then?" in a while. Thought it was banter bc I'd popped up in the bay so I asked "What do you mean?" and got hit with a, "Well you're Asian aren't you, so where did you come from?" followed by "Why did you come here?" and it wasn't a patient
