It’s my funeral and a man sets several pieces of candy on my casket and walks away as the casket is lowered.
My daughter runs after him.
“Who are you? Did you know my father?” She asks. The man smiles. “I’m Dave from Sweetwater,” he replies. “I knew him all too well.”
The problem with dating girls in Nashville is they want you to pretend to be a redneck but not actually be one. “What’s your favorite rooftop bar?”
Listen, Kayleigh, the last time I was on the roof top of a bar, it was one story and the cops got called.
Old Time and Folk Bands: I’m going to Nashville to find the ghost of Hank Williams.
Actual Nashville: White Claws and Bachelorettes riding mechanical bulls.
I’m okay. Three people died within a mile of me. It came very close. My daughter and I hid in our bath tub. I’m definitely very rattled, but only lost power for 12 hours. Thankful for
@CotiHowell
taking me in over night to keep me warm.
If you see another musician’s success and you say that they don’t deserve it, then you’re probably projecting. Let’s make 2022 a year of rooting for and not against other artists.
Willie Nelson’s breakthrough record Shotgun Willie happened when he turned 40. I’ll turn 40 this year. Y’all make my next record my breakthrough, okay? Gonna call it Pistol Payne.
When you go to your local coffee shop and they start gushing about your new record, you know you’ve made it! Just happened to the guy in front of me at Crema.
Matt is not a troll or prone to conspiracies. He’s one of the most supportive and kind people I know. He also has a journalism background. If he believes this is fishy, then we should probably listen.

who originally posted the video of Oliver Anthony - ripped w/o apparent permission) has blocked me.
I called out that someone with his coding background being the initial poster seemed suspicious due to twitters recent bot activity and todays
My next tweet is literally just a troll to test the algorithms. I think Jason Isbell is a fantastic songwriter and I fully realize he wrote Cover Me Up.
Here’s my hot take on all your hot takes: maybe one band isn’t better than another, maybe you just aren’t at a point in your life that relates to the lyrics and music of the band you don’t like.
A drunk guy with a Miller Lite and Johnny Cash shirt just cheers’d me and told me my mustache is amazing and I have a lot to be proud of. Is this what girls in bar bathrooms feel like?
Holy shit, I jumped up 70 followers and 100 streams overnight. Y’all seriously did the thing. I am speechless. Thank you for supporting me! New single announcement soon!!
The thing that annoys me about social media is when people fish for engagement and don’t respond to it. I try my best to respond to every tweet and Instagram reply. Lord knows I miss some, but isn’t the whole point to be social?
“Who are you?” And “I’ve never heard of you” as a burn isn’t as good as you think it is. Just because you’re ignorant of an artist doesn’t mean they don’t have a fan base and success.
Musicians: I’m going to give you a social media tip that will change your life. When someone leaves a comment, comment back. You’re not too cool and it boosts you in the algorithm. Follow me for more tips.
I’m over here singing my heart out tonight in East Nashville with talented songwriters and y’all are blowing up my phone with Wagon Wheel requests. I’ll take your money but you’ll never get Wagon Wheel.
I have to be honest, I’m exhausted and broke and working a full time job while working on finishing this record and side hustling editing podcasts and photography and trying to take care of personal matters. So yeah, please forgive me for taking so long on my podcast and music.
Thank you to everyone for all the kind words and support today. I see you all and appreciate your support more than you can imagine. It was hard work to put out such a vulnerable record during the hardest period in my life, but your words make it all worth it. I’m truly grateful.
What if I advertised my gigs as “Will Payne Harrison and Friends” and people showed up expecting a full band and it was just me? When they ask me at the merch table where my friends are, a single tear runs down my cheek so they awkwardly buy extra merch. 💰💰💰
My Grandfather was a woodmaker and carved toys for my child the year I was born. He passed away in 1992 and now 30 years later, my daughter is enjoying the love of a man she’ll never know. His 99th birthday would be a week from today and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him.
One year ago today, I was blessed with my greatest gift of all. My daughter came into this world to make sure that I’m no longer the biggest ham in the room. Happy birthday to my sweet baby.
Surprise!
@WillPHarrison
has joined One Spot Management!!
We’re excited to work with Will (and his incredibly dry humor) and partner with him on some upcoming projects.
His latest album, “Tioga Titan” can be found across streaming platforms!
It cracks me up when people (usually older men) drop by to say they don’t like your music. Listen, I’m sorry Eddie Van Halen died bro. I wish you the best in your Journey. Don’t get lost in the Styx.
Y’all please stop telling singers they need to be better at guitar to get somewhere in music. You don’t tell a Linebacker they need to get better at being Quarterback in order to get somewhere in football. It’s just dumb.
"Ok, keep in mind, this is a rough mix. The vocals are scratch and the bass player sucks so we're replacing him, and the Nashville Symphony hasn't been comped in"
-Everyone in Nashville sharing unfinished music
When Alabama sings Mountain Music, they talk about floating down the river to a Cajun Hideaway. They realize from the mountains, that’s like a 5 day journey right?
When I hear Classic Country, I know that God is real and wants us to be happy.
When I hear modern Pop Country, it makes me wonder if Charlie Daniels didn’t lie to us and the devil really won that fiddle contest…
Getting bigger royalty checks internationally and got really confused. Forgot I wrote a song in a movie like 10 years ago that’s getting played in Greece, Czech Republic, Ireland, etc. kind of cool.
Every time I go a period without writing a song, I worry that I lost the skill. And every time I write something new, I remember why I’m still here chasing that Neon Rainbow.
And just like that I broke 1k monthly listeners finally. Thanks everyone who’s been listening. It’s a slow climb when you’re doing everything fully organic. No ads, big playlists, and only people listening by word of mouth. It means a shit ton to this small town Titan of Tioga.
