Not sure who Brennan is bringing from his SJSt staff but LB/ST coach Scott White was a 247 P12 recruiter of the year when he was at UCLA. Allonzo Carter was a MWC recruiter of the year. Staff also has some deep ties with Polynesian and Los Angeles HS communities.

Sadly, I believe if the Cats score on the possession where they were down 6 and got the steal, they win that game. For about 1:00 Houston looked like they were about to meltdown. Instead, the Cats turn it over, Houston hits the three and ballgame.

Sean Miller to Xavier and he could be very successful. I have long said he is a very good system coach who often recruited players, may 5-stars, who did not fit his system. If he did choose Xavier over South Carolina, he made a good choice. Xavier is a better job.

IMO the problem is not that Arizona lost in the Sweet 16 to Clemson, the problem is how. The fact they kept jacking up threes and had severe defensive lapses late is the issue. Bad shooting nights happen, they usually end your season, but you have to adjust and they didn't.

@3YearLetterman Counter point, kid who got hit knew the pitcher had not only surrendered two runs but had the bases juiced and knew they could score 5-6 more runs off of him and did not want his coach going to the pen for a better arm because he was crying.

If the P12 does not have multiple contingency plans, something is clearly wrong. Me and the coaches for my son's little league team have contingency plans if some of our players go back full time to travel ball. 3 suburban dad's should not be more organized than a P5 conference.

Why Brandon Williams is an important commit: Borderline 5-star talent whose family realizes he is a likely 2-3 year player. Shows other elite recruits that it is “safe” to commit. Willing to play on or off the ball, able to bring in other combo/point guards.

Needs to go back to what has worked for him, as you say gritty, hard-nosed defensive players who are coachable, athletic, and have some position flexibility. Team needs to reflect his personality. More Parroms, more Hills, more Rondaes.
