The View Distance effect used to be much more stylized in older builds of Fortnite. It made props appear as if they sprouted from the ground, and made buildings look like they were being built up.

Weird fun fact Early versions of the chapter 4 map for some reason had a very “realistic” art style It isn’t known if they were actually intended to go with this style in the final release since it may have had this style since they were testing with nanite in unreal engine

Some things to note: -rocket launcher and hand cannon are still the chapter 2 models 🫠 -I was correct, the trees use nanite so they’re not the old models -the lighting is very colorless and dull, so it’s not the ch1 s5 lighting, more like season X or season 7.
