What Luffy needed to do here wasn't to try and convince her to come back because he needed her. What he did was declare war on the WG and put the same target Robin has on her back, on the crew's.
Before Luffy could say anything to Nami that could actually get through to her, he needed Nami to realize that she wasn't on her own and had friends that she could rely on and ask for help, which Luffy accepted with 0 hesitation.
This Nami moment means so much to me. Nami's smart, she knows how to lie to get herself out of dangerous situations. Like on Skypiea when she got Enel to spare her. And yet, she just couldn't bring herself to lie here. Her loyalty to Luffy is worth more to her than her own life.
And just to tie things up, you wanna know why Luffy said that he couldn't become pirate King, it's because Sanji said he didn't believe Luffy had what it takes to do it. And Luffy's response is him letting Sanji know that he's part of what it'll take, like the rest of the crew.
For Nami, you have someone who's had this heavy burden eating away at her for over 8 years who's been dealing with it on her own because she actively refused any and all help, especially Luffy's, and it drove her straight into a mental breakdown
Anyways, the words you say to one person won't have the same impact to another. You think Nami at any point in Orange Town wanted to hear Luffy talk about needing her to be the Pirate King while her life was falling apart around her? No
He does all that to show Robin that she's not a burden and them being enemies of the entire world isn't something that could ever make them hate her or abandon her.
Next is Robin, not only did she have serious betrayal issues in the past, she also believed that the Straw Hats wouldn't be able to fight off her pursuers forever. She believed they'd abandon her like everyone else did and that it'd be better for her to die then go through that
It's only Usopp's tear-filled apology and his acknowledgement of his own fault that earns back the trust of his comrades and truly proves how genuinely remorseful he is.
Lastly, Usopp. Initially, Luffy was more than willing to just forgive Usopp's outburst and put their argument behind them, but it was Usopp who insisted on leaving and insisted on fighting. Whereas Sanji fought Luffy to try and drive him away, Usopp fought for his own pride.
And later, Luffy again was more than willing to let him back on the crew without a second thought. But Zoro was right in his point. Usopp rejoining like nothing happened and essentially casting aside all responsibility for the fight regains none of the crew's trust that he lost
Alright real talk, if you don't see this as genuine character growth for Sanji or him having the upmost faith in his comrades and instead think of it as him being pathetic or weak, then any opinion you have on his character is immediately invalidated to me
@monkeydgoat
I once heard someone say that Luffy's awakening would allow him to bend time and he'd use that to go back to Marineford, save Ace and kill Akainu. I think it's safe to say that these fans are higher than freaking planes

I might be reading too much into this, but it's kinda strange how Luffy's interacted with creatures kinda similar to the Gorosei. Not saying this is foreshadowing, just an interesting detail.
@PridefuISin
The man's been drawing big muscular dudes fighting for the past like four years in Wano, can't blame him for needing to blow off some steam
@newworldartur
I'm sorry, this is an amazing cover, really beautiful, but I can't get over Kaido's face. It reminds of that stupid soyjak face and I can't help but laugh over it
Seeing Sanji's utter disgust and hatred for exploiting people's hunger next to Zoro's anger when seeing people forced to suffer in silence should tell you just how horrible Wano's situation is
@Geo_AW
We've got talking trees, clouds, the walking dead, angels, aliens and giant ancient psychic elephants, the ocean being an actual character would be the least surprising thing to come out of this verse
What I love about this is that instead of Sanji begging them not to hurt Robin or acting worried for Robin's safety, he tells them not to underestimate her. He believes wholeheartedly that she wouldn't lose to them, because he knows that she's strong
I like seeing how differently Nami handles Tama compared to Luffy. Luffy believes it's better that she doesn't know the truth because it would only hurt her more, even if she hates him for it. Nami thinks it's better to tell her and comfort her so she can move on from that pain
